Question about 1994 Suzuki GSX-R 750 WR

2 Answers

I got a 1994 suzuki katana gsx 750 from my brother the bike has been sitting for a couple of years. it started when i got it but it only ran for a minute so i geuss it burned whatever was in the carbs. i tried disasembling the carbs and cleaning them. there werent any globs of dried up gas. after cleaning i reassembled them, put on the bike and it still wont start so i disconnected the gas tank and put some gas in the float bowls of each carb and still wouldnt start. it has good spark, good compression (also i tried shooting some starter fluid into the intake manifold to give it alittle help, burned the fluid but wouldnt turnover). what should i do now?

You say you cleaned the carbs, but did you pull and clean the jets ? they are very very tiny holes, and take like nothing to plug them. pull the jets and run a wire from a wire brush thru them, should start for you now

should not be 15 volts 14v - 14.30v max 15 volts wile running is over charging the battery. and you dont want that as over time the battery over heats and can go bang. check the voltage regulator...

So i bought a batt for my 1999 suzuki katana 750 i rode a couple a times let the bike sit for a couple of days now when i tried to start it it sounds like it wants to start but it will not kick over...

Put the battery on charge - while it is charging remove and clean the sparkplugs - once the plugs are clean and refitted also make sure all the HT leads are secure - check the fuses, have a once-over of all the connectors and cabling and make sure everything is dry and secure.
Likely the battery was never fully charged to begin with - but still clean the plugs since they will be fouled from the non-starting.

05 suzuki katana 750 idle issues

Idle issues can be fuel/air (mixture ratio) or igition (spark strength). It sounds like an air restriction issue. If there is no blockage throught the air inake/filter, make sure you adjust the jets to specifications and make sure there are no float issues with the carbs.
