I have a 1982 yamaha xj 650 maxim and I'm wondering what the torque specs for the clutch basket bolt and the spring bolts

Here is a link to average torque specs.. The diameter they are mentioning isn't the head size but the diameter of the fastener.
Also remember that usually the actual measurements of the bolt will be just under the size in the table.

I am fitting a new clutch assy to my vy ss ute, i bought the kit genuine from Holden removed the old assy and fitted the new flywheel, clutch plate n pressure plate. but my problem is that i have torqued...

Wondering if you compared the thickness of the new pressure plate flange to the old one.If the metal is thinner than the original, maybe the bolts are just bottoming out.If this is the case, you can probably get shorter bolts, trim the originals,or use a fat washer.Just make sure you allow more than just enough,as you don't want them to bottom out at the point where the flange looks seated.

What is the torch on my springs on my clutch for my fz1000

Hi, a typical torque setting for a six mm bolt is 6 to 8 foot pounds, however care must be taken as the clutch posts are quite easily stripped of their threads, because the bolt is pulling a spring you may get a false sense of torque, tighten the bolt until the washer meets the post and give a little more tension on the bolt, would probably try on a 6 mm bolt elswere on the bike other than the clutch to get a feel for the small amount of torque

We are in the process of putting in the a new clutch kit on our 1999 toyota corolla 5 sp and we need to know what the torque specs are for the clutch bolts, can you help

Clutch disc and pressure plate. The bolts should be tightened in 2 or 3 steps, gradually and evenly. Final bolt torque is 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).

I have just replaced the clutch on a 1988 Hurricane 600. The final step before replacing the side cover, is to torque down the four bolts that pass through the clutch springs -- but the manual says only...

Those bolts should compress the springs, and seat in the clutch cover, if they do not seat and tighten up they will come loose. There may be a spacer that you have missed, or if an after market clutch kit was used maybe the spacers were not included with the kit, whichever one it is these bolts must seat and tighten up or the clutch will not work properly.

What is the torque for the bolts that hold the clutch spring plate reduced effort clutch spring on a 2003 FLSTIC msd2455@yahoo.com

I've never really torqued these bolts and I've replaced plenty of the diaphragm springs. Usually I put stronger springs in the clutch since I'm building up the horsepower of the engines. I put a drop of Loctite 242 (med, strength blue) and tighten the bolts to about 25-30 foot pounds. Check the standard torque for a grade five bolt of the size that are in the clutch.
