its because or engine rpm is below 800 when u remove your foot from the gas pedal, try adjusting your engine rpm to 800 or above to get a smoother idle speed
This is likely going to be the Pre cat that is connected to the exhaust just off of the exhaust manifold attatched to the cylinder head. These were a little problematic for plugging and causing exactly what you are describing. Find a trusted exhaust shop in your area and have them inspect. Once the pre cat has been unistalled and the engine ran, it should clear up and run good proving the repair. Install a new one and enjoy that little car. Let me know what is found.
Hello! The Rio is equipped with a 1.5L engine...@ 5800 RPM, HP=96...@ 4500 RPM, Torque=98 FT LBS.....Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) is a ratio expressed by dividing Fuel Consumption by Power...An example would be...38 MPG divided by 96 HP would be a BSFC of .396...
I hope this is the information you required....Guru....saailer
The battery is only use to start the car, once the car is moving the alternator takes over and charges the battery. I sounds like the alternator is bad. You take the alternator to Napa, Auto Zone or Advance auto part and have them check it for you.
My rio kia bought on from uyi technical dealer in benin city, edo state of nigeria only 4 months ago is vibrating with noise while driving. The noise is noticed by other road users even in motion, making a very loud noise or sound that is highly embarrassing. The dealer mechanics have checked more than twice yet no result, instead the hub bearing is observed; tyres are turn over yet the noise persists.
What do think is resolution to the problem? pls help me. Vinson- [email protected]
The gas filter should be changed at 30,000 miles, the AC pulls about 5-10 horsepower from the engine when on, you will feel this, the Kia has a small engine, if you are talking about a more serious drag then you may have the system overcharged or the compressor is starting to fail.
