LG 2050 front-load washer will not drain and I have cleaned the filter..........several times. Additionally I have called LG and 'reset' the machine using assistance from the help desk folks......who claimed to be in Alabama.......but had middle eastern accents. Up to this point it has been a great washer......and the help desk folks were very helpful, even if they couldn't resolve the issue. Steve

You will have to tilt the machine back as far as possible to access the bottom of the machine. Locate the drain pump and remove the hose that connects the pump to the tub, you will need to have a basin ready to catch any water. You most likely have a sock or something stuck. Hope this helps.

Drain error still after making sure the washer was level, making sure the drain filter was clean, the drain was clear and replacing the pump motor assembly

LE error? Don't buy a new sensor, don't call a repairman and don't scrap it. The fix is EASY!

Turn the drum 4-5 times by hand to resettle the load, move spin speed to highest, Quick Wash, Speed Wash. It shoudl work just fine. I've had to do this a few times over the last 5 years. Why everyone wants you to BUY parts is beyond me....maybe they need to make some $$ ?

Got an OE error, now it will not finish rinse and spin, sounds like it is grinding in the spin cycle and the timer is stopped at 27 minutes remaining. What is wrong?

The problem is in the drain system as what error code OE stands for.The grinding noise is coming from the drain pump. Loose change, hair pins and the likes can get into the pump filter and sometimes into the pump impeller causing a grinding noise during the spin cycle because the pump works while the machine is spinning. The pump impeller may also be broken causing the grinding noise.

Disconnect power then open the filter door on the bottom left of the cabinet.

Remove the drain plug and drain the water out completely into a shallow basin or the likes. Once drained, lay a piece of towel under the filter then turn the filter knob counterclockwise and remove it. Clean the filter and reach in the pump impeller to check it if blocked or broken. If cleaning the filter does not solve the problem, you need to access the drain pump assembly and check the pump particularly the impeller thoroughly. Click on the link below for the detailed procedure in accessing the drain pump assembly.

LG washer with OE error

Hi,

If you are getting this code it is because your washing machine has tried for at least ten minutes to drain the water out of the machine. The most likely cause of this problem is that you have a plugged pump filter or you have something stuck in the pump filter.Make sure that you unplug your washing machine. To clean out the pump filter you must empty the washing machine water. The best way to do this is to manually drain the water into a low bucket or basin. Then lay a towel down to catch to remaining small amount of water. Remove the pump filter, clean out any debris, and wash out the filter. Then plug your washer back in and restart the washing machine.Check that your machine is properly leveled. A washer that is too far out of level may not drain properly. Make sure that you are level front to back as well as side to side. This solution will solve your problem

Thank You !!

Water leaks past the water pump filter gasket reseating the filter does not stop the leaking lg tromm Front Loading Washer

I regularly clean my filter of slime and debris (after not even realizing this needed to be done and having my pump give out of me). TWICE I have awoken to a flooded basement due to leaks in the filter area:

The first time, the plastic stopper was not in the small rubber drain hose properly and had popped off.

The second time, I had cleaned the gasket, inserted it tightly like I always do, and awoke to another flood! I thought perhaps the rubber gasket on the filter was on wrong, but it was fine. I inserted it tightly several times and water still poured out! It turns out there was a small stone lodged in the thread of the receiving end of the filter causing there to be a bad seal. Lesson learned. Another $2000.00 worth of flooring ruined.

My lg front load washer will not turn on when i press the start button, i used it several times already today?

Had the same problem today. On the front bottom left hand side there is a small door. Open the door and unplug the black rubber hose, this will allow the water to drain (make sure you have a small bucket to drain the water into.) After the water has drained, unscrew the black filter. Wash the filter and insert it back into the washer. Turn the filter until it will not turn any further. Plug the black water hose and close the door. If you had the same problem I did then it should work.

LG recommends that the filter be cleaned twice a month.

Front drain leaking

Your drain filter is not seated in properly or the rubber seal is broken.  Pull the drain filter out and be sure the area is clean and free of any foreign debris.  Make sure the rubber seal on the filter is not damaged or missing.  If it still leaks, call a qualified LG technician to assist in getting the problem resolved.
