It has to be a problem with the battery. Since it is good, you need to check the wire ends that connect to the battery post. Make sure they are not loose and they are connected good. Make sure they are cleaned. You need to check all wires in the charging system. Make sure the alternator wires are correct and getting 12V of power to it. You can check the wires with a volt meter. The wires should carry 12V. Since both parts are good, it has to be in the wires, the charging system.

You need to find out what the battery drain is as it is running, a competent auto electrician can do that. I am assuming that the battery capacity has been checked as ok and if it is there must be a VERY VERY high battery drain as it is running, something must be getting very warm. I think either the battery is not draining or your previous check on the battery alternator have not been done properly. Change the battery and see what happens.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

What are codes 12,41,55 mean on a 1990 dodge dynasty

Code 12 is no matter, only means the battery has been disconnected within last 50-100 starts, erasing previous memory codes.

Code 55 is End of Message-no further codes stored.

Code 41 is Charging system circuit not responding to control signal. First thing to do is have the alternator tested. If it is good, you will need to diagnose the "control signal" coming from the engine computer to the alternator. It is a dark green wire. Better find a competent mechanic with a multi-meter.

Dodge dynasty wont start.

Lots of possibilities... More troubleshooting is required. Check to make sure fuel is getting to the cylinders? If not it is a possible bad fuel pump. Another possibility is a bad timing belt.

1990 d150 not charging

if the alternator is good and it's not charging the battery check you battery terminal. if it's the soft lead kind any sort of crack in the terminal will keep it from charging and will drain the battery. if you find thats not the case you more than likely have a wire loose on the starter or solenoid or a wire grounding out somewhere

1990 Dodge Dynasty trouble starting

To be honest, sell it. You're getting in to more electronic issues than the car is worth.I can tell you the z1 circuit is shot, that's the main engine ground under the battery tray. That's just the begining of the electrical issues.

Alternator & battery test good...alternator is not charging bat.

1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse

You have several choices;
) You can get the alternator check at an auto parts store. Most do it free. You will have to take it off.
) You can get the entire charging system check at Sears. The checkup is free.

Charging problem

Could you clarify your engine size?

4 Cylinders K 2.5L TBI SOHC 6 Cylinders 3 3.0L FI (found in 36% of 1990 Dodge Dynasty) 6 Cylinders R 3.3L FI (found in 64% of 1990 Dodge Dynasty)

If you have the 3.3L the voltage regulators are located in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC), depending on the model. If, after diagnosis, the regulator is deemed faulty, the PCM/SBEC must be replaced with a new one.

Hope this helps for now
