Hello I have a CBZ Xtreme 2007. It covered 29000 km. Before previous 6-7 sevices, tappet of my bike start getting loose and giving a noise while running, i fix it while servicing but after getting tappet tight first time, the mileage and pick up of my bike become poor and its stroke noise is not coming ( like dhak dhak from silencer ). when i run even on 5th gear it give vibration in engine and i feel that i am running on 3rd gear and it seems like to be that 80km/h is its top speed. In recent service I changed its Air filter and Spark plug with the consultation of mechanic but the problem is not solved, but he is helpless. Plz help me INDER JEET

Hi dude,
99 % this & low milege is due to wrong Air to Fuel ratio.
This can be solved very easily.What you need is only a small screw driver.

Open the black tool box in the right side. Remove a small rubber bush thats there. Inside you can see a small flat screw. that controls the amount of fuel injected to the engine. Turn the thing clockwise a round or two & go for a small drive. Feel the difference & stop when you are satisfied. if your engine knocks, thats even bad. Dont overdo.

NB : This will reduce pickup

as CBZ is already a old bike now..!!

black smoke is emitted in following reasons.,\
when engine is damaged, engine oil is burnt.
when silencer as to cleaned
when fuel is of bad quality

these are of priority order,

I hope there is a engine problem...

sir plz check ur engine oil level...does it get over in about 1500kms ?? if so..then sure engine problem

honda's run on any fule but stick to 98 if you can as for oil yes synthetic oil is ok a good service wont do any harm so if you can do it yourself all the better
