Burnt out engine bearings or a faulty oil pressure sending unit on the engine. Have the oi pressure confirmed by a shop with a special mechanical test gauge.
the oil light isn't for oil level, its for pressure. if the oil is touching the lines on the dipstick, you have plenty. don't overfill it, that will cause other issues, such as smoking and misfiring. make sure the level is between the lines on the dipstick. if the level is correct and the light is still on, there is an internal oil pressure problem, such as oil pump, clogged oil passages, or worn out engine bearings (cam, crank, rods). you should not drive the car if it is full of oil and the oil light is on. have it towed to a shop or serious engine damage could occur, if it already hasn't
There are two speed sensors. One is on the tranny under the throttle bosy and one is under the tranny.
This is the one under the throttle body
This is the one under the tranny near the right wheel. The Countershaft speed sensor is the best bet. i replaced this one on a 1995 honda accord with flashing d4 and after replacement it was gone.the part will be about 125 bucks.
the oil pressure sending unit must be defective - it should be located close to oil filter - if another sending unit is purchased you can compare the two - most sensors only plug up one way - the light should be working thru ground - light may not come on if sending unit is unplugged as a test
on my 95 accord my d4 light used to flash after driving for for an hour or 2 then the speedo would do strange things.so i changed the speed sensor relay [located on the gearbox] and solved the problem.
