Idles high and low - 2005 Nissan Altima

not sure what you mean, idle? High idle usualy bend a rod to position the cam in the right place when engine is cold or with the choke plate held about 1/8" open and low idle is turn the idle screw with the engine warm. The screw rests high on the cam when cold and low on the cam when engine has warmed. you may find an index marking on the cam.

obviously does, more RPM needs more gas

It can be issue with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.

There are many other possibilities causing these idle issues. Engine idles rough.

just do induction / throttle body cleaning - will solve high idle on start up

the O2 sensor works on one volt .5 is around the running voltage, i would refit the air hose as it will run the converter hotter at idle.

Did you install new spark plugs? Definitely replace the O2 sensor.

does car have engine codes? sounds like your idle air controle valve is sticking. or possible egr problem

Had same problem. Turned out that antifreeze was low causing insufficient water pressure. Could also be a bad sensor. I would check both.
