If all other lights work, have you replace the low beam filament is burned out try swapping out the headlight bulbs.

  • Anonymous Jan 17, 2011

reason for changing out headlight bulbs is these bulbs are a dual filament bulb, which means the high beam filament is intact, but the low beam filament may have burned.

SOURCE: Jeep Headlights not working. High beam works

had the same problem on my 92....check under the hood on the drivers side, towards the front, there is a "junction box" with all of the lighting wires connecting from the switches to the lights. My wires were all corroded inside,so I cleaned the ends and bought a new box from the local electronic supply store. The problem has not come back.

Cheers

I have a problem with the low beams on my headlights. The high beams works just fine. All of the other lights(turn signal, emergency lights, etc.) work except for the low beams.

Check the fuses first. then replace the turn signal switch if all fuses are good. All the lights run threw it, except the high brake light on the rear.

One low beam head lights will not work, high beam works though

check for a damaged wire for the low beam. Also wouldn't hurt to check the ground wire as the high beam will try and ground through the low beam but not visa verse

My durango headlight will not work on the right side

Well the turn signals are a different circuit.
Usually the common problem with one headlight is the ground circuit.
Both the high and low beam use the same ground. I would check for power for each circuit and a good ground at the light socket.

We bought a 2000 suzuki swift with 94,000 miles on it. The head lights dont turn on, but the parking lights work and the high beams work. Do you think its the fuse?

Check bulbs. If high beams work, then the fuse is likely fine. Do double check fuse box anyway though. If all checks out, then check the headlight switch stalk with a multimeter.

98 ford lariat. Headlights stopped working. running lights come on and brake lights and turn signals. checked all fuses under dash and under hood, pulled out headlight switch and it looks fine. note only...

Is this both the high beams and low beams that do not work ?

If you checked all 3 fuses with a meter ( with the headlamp in Low position for both low beam fuses or in high for the high beam fuse ), the next items to test are the MFS ( MultiFunction Switch ) and the main headlamp switch ( test not look at it ).
