Cuts out randomly, starts again ok,rides ok,done spark plug air filter, emptied tank. wot now,is there a solenoid or something?

when it cuts off I would pull spark plug wire and crank and see if it is getting fire at the time it has cut off, if its not sparking the coil is probably getting hot and cutting out. if it is getting fire I would remove the bowl of the carburetor and clean with a wire brush and carb cleaner.. I would make sure the float is moving up and down freely, lastly I would check to make sure the air vent on the fuel system is not blocked. if you continue to have problems after checking those things.. please contact me as I would like to help you get your bike running!

Homelite xl chainsaw won't start. I took out spark plug, put in some fuel and if fired right up. But won't run.

You need to clean out the carb. possibly replace the Needle Valve and check the Diaphram for stiffness. Also check the fuel line for cracks and rott.

I have a cr 125 2003 model , my bike was running and starting fine but today it cut out t, the spark plug is firing there is fuel coming threw but it is not firing up ,there apperes to be flooded as the...

HI, IF IT IS FLOODED, TURN OF THE FUEL AND OPEN THE THROTTLE FULLY AND KEEP AT THIS POSITION WITHOUT THE CHOKE,KICK REPEATINGLY AND IT MAY FIRE EVENTUALY,

RREMEMBER THAT THE CHOKE INITIALY FLOODS THE ENGINE FOR COLD STARTING, SO USING THE CHOKE WHEN ALLREADY FLOODED WILL WORSEN THINGS,

YOU COULD PROBABLY REMOVE THE EXHAUST TO DISPENSE THE FUEL QUICKER AND PUT IN A CLEAN PLUG, I WOULD DO THIS BEFORE I STRIP DOWN THE CARB TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM CLEARS, AS THE BIKE WAS PREVIOUSLY RUNNING IT SEEMS ODD TO START MAKING ADDJUSTMENTS

Apache quad 100cc Bike will not start, battery is ok, plenty of petrol in it but will not fire, can anyone help,

this typically comes down to basics. you engine needs air, fuel and spark to run. FUEL - pull the main fuel hose in to the carb from gas tank and turn on to be sure fuel is getting to the carb. SPARK - next pull out spark plug and while still connected to igntion cap, touch end of plug to motor and turn over engine. if you do not see spark, this is your issue and is usually the most common issue. if spark is present, spray starting fluid into the spark plug hole, reinstall plug and try to start, if it trys to start as in starts then dies, your not getting fuel past or from your carb. Clean carb. AIR - last but not least check your air filter and insure it is not clogged or obstructed and is allowing air to the engine. As for no spark, the can be many issues from a bad CDI ignition coil or generator/stator to just a bad kill switch or cut/unplugged wire.

Bike won't start

Check compression ratio and valves clearance. The carbs leak any fuel from their o-rings.Spray through the air box with a carb cleaner spray while pressing start button but little bit at a time.Don't twist the throttle too much and always use choke until she fires up for good.

1986 Kawasaki Ninja won't fire

Theres fuel starvation, the carbs are not getting required fuel in other words the float chambers doesnt get the correct amount of fuel .
Check the fuel flow from the petcock to the carburators.
Check the float pin and adjust accordingly to get the right level inthe float chamber of each carburator.
Hope this helps!

Kawasaki kx 125 2005 runs then cuts out

Clean the carb then remove the water trap bowl from the gas valve. Clean the bowl, any water in it? If water was in the bowl then drain one cup of gas from the tank. Any water or trash in the bottom of the container? Also, are you using stock NGK spark plugs or Autolite plugs. Use stock plugs. Clean the air filter.

Please rate this solution as "FixYa" if able. Thanks!
