Well im asuming you need help with a slipping/moving shift lever, if im right then take it off and lock it in a vice. then take a hack saw and make the gap wider by taking a blades width from in side the clamping area. then drill the threads out of the tighting bolt area so a longer bolt and nut can replace it. the re mount and tighten till tight without crushing anything.

Where is the starter on the 2005 kawasaki prairie 360 4x4

In front of the crankcase....its a small, cylindrical piece with a single large wire connect to it...
It has a gear riding on the end of the shaft that is inside of the crankcase on the shifter side.. it WILL fall if you remove the starter without taking care with the gear and chain first.. just make sure the chain doesn't get away...its not a hard fix.. you can purchase a brush kit for the starter and fix it yourself .. if you have access to a lathe to turn the armature where the brushes ride.. don't forget to undercut the mica.(the grooves between the copper ridges)..or take the starter and brush kit to your local starter/alternator repair shop.. and have them fix it.

I have a problem shifting in to second gear on my 2005 zxr6 636

Hi, Robert and the usual suspects are:
1. Clutch dragging slightly.
2. Primary chaincase overfilled with lubricant.
3. Corners wore off shifter clutch dogs.
4. Shifter return spring bent or broken.
5. Bent shifter rod.
6. Loose shift lever on shifter shaft.
7. Shifter forks sprung.
8. Shifter pawl needs adjusting.
9. Heel/toe shifter coming in contact with the floorboard.
10. Transmission oil too heavy.

What would cause my 2008 suzuki ozark 250 atv to jump into neutral then not shift

Sounds like you have either a busted shifter fork. Or the pin in the gear selector has broken off or the bolt as come loose in the center of it and the pin has fallen out. If it's the shifter fork it's an expensive teardown. If it's the gear selector it should be an easy fix. Look at the selector gear first but when you pull the side of the engine be careful not to lose any parts.

Not able too down shift gears from 3 too 1 on my suzuki bandit 1200 o4 plate

hello had a atv that did this, atv had set for a while, went to ride it, had all gears, went to downshift , to first, stopped then took off again, only had first gear then second no other gears, i tried everything, all different kind of oil additives, they never worked, more than likely, my atv had set for a while and the shifter fork inside the motor had rusted just a little bit, the gear had got stuck , i had to split the motor cases, to fix mine, make sure your shifter isnt stripped out, maybe it needs adjusting, i have seen people tap on the gear shifter sometimes and it would break loose, some atv mechanics, say to ride it, eventually it will come unstuck, or break the case in half to fix shifter fork and gears....
