SOURCE: my bike stutters at full throttle

Have you checked the fuel filter ? Some are in line others are in the tank petcock. I am Not familiar with that model but it sounds like it's a fuel issue.

SOURCE: kick start has no compression but runs fine once i get it going

Does it feel like yhe kick is even engaging and turning the crankshaft? Are you full stroking/kicking it over or short stroking it? when cold, are you using the choke. I suggest taking a compression test when it feels as if it hs no compression It could be undersized piston, rings, or a simple. good luck

SOURCE: 07 kawasaki kx250f backfires

Hey i have several solutions for you.
The first is have you checked valvue clearence lately, because if the valvue clearence is either to high or to low then it could cause it to back fire. The next solution is repacking your silencer. The next solution is there is two main gaskets in most dirtbikes, one, which is located where the pipe mets the motor. Also the other gasket it where the mid pipe meets the head pipe. The bike fire is usually being caused by extra air. By the way checkin valvue clearence is extremley easy it may sound hard but I do after every ride.

I have a 2010 kx250f it runs mint but today it would no start i kick it over like 30 time and befor it took 1 kick now it wont even start ?

The engine is probably flooded with too much gas. Every time the throttle is twisted, a shot of gas goes into the cylinder. Don't twist the throttle so much. Once or twice should be all that is needed.

G'day. Two probable causes I can think of are.1/ Faulty ignition coil/cap.2/ accellerator pump not working(carburettor models only).Have your ignition coil/cap tested first as it is easier than removing the carby to check if the accellerator pump is working. To test the accellerator pump.Remove carby, with cables & fuel re- connected- opperate throttle-should squirt out fuel from front of carby.
Hope this is helpfull

I have a NC30 that has been standing for about a year, the only reason for that is CDI issues. I bought a De-restricted CDI from Japan, replaced the Spark plugs and checked all fuses and connections. I...

Check your CDI on the other bike is a good option. if it was perfect before the CDI change then the new CDI is the only variable.
Wont be shimming.the valves need to wear to change that setting, and the bike has been sitting.
Sounds like its sucking air after the carby once over, but the balancing would have picked that up.
But how did you balance them if its idling at 5000rpm?
Recheck the carb once over, and balance, and make sure the fuel and vacumn tubes are in correct positions. check the throttle cable is replaced correctly
I assume it is running on all cylnders.

Hi, Brandon nice novella, it could be a funky power valve and they are moderatley easy to clean/repair and you will need the free manual provided below as for a gasket/o-ring you may be able to reuse the old one if you are careful removing it, worse case scenario you can always make a gasket out a cereal box and use high temp silicone for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the blue links below. Has this 6 year old machine ever had a top-end job done? If not, then you may want to consider it. You can just replace the rings but I'd at least pull the cylinder apart and check for blow-by or a stuck ring. if your rings don't rotate freely in their channels, then it's time to replace them. If your cylinder has a glassy look to the inside walls, then it needs a hone job at a minimum. Kustom-kraft.com is an excellent choice for top-end service.. Bikebandit.com is THE place for parts.

I have a 2006 kx250f engine seems to be running fine but at 1/4 throttle engine seems to be bogging or missing a bit

I would start out with the basics first: clean air filter, new spark plug, fresh fuel. Then move to the intake and exhaust and check for leaks. A loose carb or adapter, a leaky exhaust seal. The exhaust uses a copper ring seal, they have a tendency to wear out or be vulnerable to a header that has been knocked out of alignment. If everything still checks out, try cleaning the carb, and be sure to remove all jets and blow compressed air through all passages. Next I would check for valve clearances, and if your capable, a leak-down test to check for a worn top end or valves. If the problem has seemed to be for most of the bikes life, you may want to try rejetting the bike to fine tune your low-speed circuit.
