I have no brake light

Check the pedal switch that engages the lights. There is a button switch when your brake pedal travels down that turns the brake lights on. If the switch is defective or miss-aligned your brake lights wont turn on.

My shifter won't shift. It seems like it is locked. I press on the brake but the little knob on the shifter that you need to push in to engage the shifter won't budge.

I'm assuming you're talking about an automatic transmission. When you press on the brake pedal, you engage a switch under the pedal which turns your brake lights on, and also engages a solenoid in the shifter which allows you to shift the car out of Park.

That said, are your brake lights working? If your brake lights come on when you press the brake pedal, chances are the shifter solenoid/actuator is broken. If your brake lights DO NOT come on when you press the brake pedal, chances are you have a faulty brake light switch.

Regardless which part is to blame, these are pretty simple and inexpensive repairs.

Good luck, and if this helped, please rate my answer!

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Brake lights not working properly. With lights off Driver side no brake light when brake is engaged. With lights on and all rear lights on, engage brake - no driver brake light...

The problem is that the tail lights, light bulbs get too hot and melt the plastic where the bulb socket goes into the lens assembly. On the lens assembly you will see one to three metal tabs where the socket fits into. Lift up the tab a little bit with a screw driver and place a small amount of either metal or plastic underneath the tab so it will get a good connection. It will fix the problem.

My brake lights won't turn off and the brakes are not engaged

the brake light switch may be bad, or the brake pedal is not coming back enough to turn the switch off, look up under the dash where the brake brake is, and you may see if the pedal is depressing the switch properly.

1994 Camry V6 XLE Interior Brake Light on; Brake NOT engaged

The brake light is on, most likely, due to a low fluid condition in the master cylinder reserviour. There is a sensor that measures the volume of the brake fluid. If it is low, the sensor lights the light. The fluid level lowers proportionally to the wear of the brakes.

Your windows are not rolling up p, most likely, because you need a master switch assembly on your driver-side door.
