Hi , two things to look at : 1- change your oil to a not so thick oil which could cause your problem . 2- your clutch could be too tight therefore needs to be relaxed to allow your kick start working

1974 suzuki ts 185 when you kick the kickstarter the front sprocket moves but the piston doesnt

i presume the bike must be in gear to move the front sprocket. does the piston move if try and bump it in gear..if not.the piston has somehow seperated from the krank, need a visual inspection, head needs to come of, possible more. if it does then need to look at kickstart mechanism

What would cause the kick start to jam?

When you say it rolls when in gear, is it as though you haven't put it in gear? Does the clutch lever operation feel normal? Would take off the cover and check the kickstart mechanism, may just be a broken /jammed spring. Also check teeth on kickstart gear and other gears that mesh with it.

Hi, Snowleapo932 no gear should wobble it needs to be repaired for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Bought a 1981 Xr200R with a defect kickstarter(doesn't grip when you push down on it),took everything apart after the guy at the local honda center told me it's most likely a broken spring, all the springs...

It sounds as thou the dogs/gears are sticky or a week spring .it is possible it was left off but if you don't want to do the extra work thin i would replace the spring and inspect. Have Good Day.

My 125dt dosent sart or kick sart, the gear inside have a bushing in shafting?or it was broken..

Common cause of kickstarter not engaging(I am guesing that this is your problem) is a broken spring on the kickstart mechanism,or that the kickstart idler gear cerclip has fallen off(this allows the idler gear to move forward on the shaft & thus won't allow the kickstart gear to transfer drive to the clutch hub).Remove clutch cover, put kickstart lever back on shaft spline, activate kickstart lever by hand(easier with sparkplug removed+in neautral)as kickstart lever moves down 90 degrees the gear on the kickstarter mechanism should move out to engage with gear next to it(kickstart idler gear). If the gear on the kickstarter mechanism dosn't move outward it has a broken spring on the kickstart mechanism.replace spring and all should work.(if the spring is broken you need to try find the broken piece with a magnetic pick-up tool as the broken part can cause further damage if not removed)To do this job I highly recommend you first purchase a workshop manual which will guide you through these processes. After all a manual is the most valuable tool in your tool kit.

Yz 250 2008 possible 5th gear stripped, or shifting fork bent?

Do an oil change. If the gear were stripped there will be lots of metal particles in the oil. More than likely the fork is slightly bent such that the slider for fifth gear is just barely engaging. Put pressure on it by increased throttle and it pops out.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part, the part is not in stock.
