Question about Honda CR 250 R Motorcycles
Start by seeing if you have voltage across the points when they are open. A small 12volt bulb on fly wires is useful for this exercise. Check the capacitor across the points.
If the gap is set correctly, the capacitor is OK and there is not 12volts on there, bulb lit?, check the coil next for voltage, bulb lit? then follow it back to the ignition switch, bulb lit? and to the battery fused supply and then to the battery.
Wherever the voltage is missing, bulb not lit, and where the voltage comes back, bulb is lit, is where your fault is.
Happy New Year.
