SOURCE: Motorcycle won't shift gears

You have bent shift forks my friend. You can take it to the dealer for $$$$ or ask a mechanic in the shop if he fixes bikes at home. This will cost a lot less. My guess is $600.00. Get a firm price before the work starts.

SOURCE: Jumps out of gear when brake hard

The crunching noise is the slider gear going into the chosen gear. This is normal. The false neutral is likely just a case of shift pedal
adjustment. When braking hard you probably have your toe on top of the shift lever. If so then lower the front of the shift lever one or two notches. If your toe is below the shift lever then raise the lever one or two notches. THis adjustment should fix the problem.

SOURCE: False neutral

There is pretty much a false neutral between every gear on an Enfield. You need to ease the gear up or down and do it by feel more than a hard up or down movement

Ssanyong Kryon auto, the gears jump to neutral between fourth and fifth then engage with a bump?

Not sure, but 5th may be a lock up torque converter rather than another "real" gear. If so, solenoid for this may be bad, or torque converter may be bad. Have you changed the trans fluid and filter?

I have owned this intruder for a year now. It had a problem when going up or down hills in 4th gear. it would shift into neutral or false neutral between 4th and 5th gear. Now it is shifting into neutral...

Hi, Phsyco1 nice novella and the usual suspects are:
1. Shifter pawl improperly adjusted.
2. Shifter drum improperly adjusted or damaged.
3. Shifter engaging parts/dogs badly worn or rounded.
4. Shifter forks bent.
5. Damaged gears.

Neutral light does not come on until 2nd gear is engaged

The neutral light should only light between 1st and 2nd gears. There may be a "false neutral" at other places. Wear exacerbates (i love big words) the size of these but they don't hurt anything as long as the bike shifts well.
