The carburetor settings are easy : 1- locate the screw mixture air /fuel 2- wind the screw all the way in 3- unwind the screw 1 1/2 turn and this should be sufficient to set the carburetor back to its original settings for the air/fuel mixture . 4- as for the idling screw , wind it down to suit the revs required

My husband touched the carb settings on my sons new 2007 ttr 50. I read the manual to try and find the number of turns to return to stock settings. Can you please please help!

The carb mixture screw may add air or fuel, depending on the model. If the bike will idle it can be adjusted without knowing the factory setting. What you want is the highest idle that can be achieved using just the mixture screw, not the idle setting screw. Start the motor, then slowly turn the mixture screw in. If the idle speed increases, continue in that direction. If it slows and becomes rough, turn the screw back out until you reach the highest idle speed. That will the correct setting for the bike at your altitude.

My yamaha ttr 50 won't start I don't no what to do to fix it help

Three things get your cycle to start and run: gas, electricity from battery to spark plug and air! Do one at a time...Are you getting gasoline to the carburator and eventually to the cylinder? Are you getting power from the battery? Is the spark plug getting power? Is the starter motor getting power? Trial and error!

Ttr50 oil blowing from vent tube

Hi, Lee oil level readings are taken when the engine has reached normal operating temperature and the usual suspects are:
1. Overfilled oil tank dipstick reading should at or below full.
2. If the sight glass is full you are running to much oil.
3. Excessive blowby caused by worn out piston rings.
4. Piston rings never properly seated.
5. Faulty breather valve or system.
6. Pinched or clogged breather line/hose.
7. Clogged or failed oil filter.
8. Contaminated oil dirt-rust-water etc.
9. Excessive oil foaming.
10. Wrong oil type not designed for your bike.

We keep fouling spark plugs. I think our dealer purposely set the bike up that way. Now my son is a little older and knows how to ride but we keep fouling plugs. Is there an easy way to fix this...

Several ways to try. Be sure the air filter is clean and without any tears or punctures, install an in-line fuel filter, gap the spark plug at .030, be sure the stock spark plug is used ( NGK CR7HSA ), be sure the muffler not plugged up at all, increase the idle speed, and change the gearbox oil every 2 or 3 months. The only other thing would be to de-carbon the piston and head but that requires the head to be removed. Taking the head off isn't hard but you must be sure to have the valve cam timed properly when reassembled. If not installed properly, you can bend a valve the first time you try to kickstart. hi,sounds like the float in the carb is stuck in the fully open position, you will have to take the carb out, take the bowl off the bottom of the carb and inspect the float needle assembly, the little clip that holds the float to the needle valve may have come off, allowing fuel to run unchecked into the carb and ultimately out through the overflow..hope this helps..cheers

Yamaha ttr 90 jet pilot should it be open end to

The pilot should be open. This is to say that if you look through it at a light you should be able to see through it.
I suggest blowing it out with compressed air as well as the hole it fits in. While your at it give all the jets a blow out.
once you've put it back together I also suggest you fit an in-line fuel filter.
This will help to keep the dirt out and save you having ths same problem again
Hope this helps

Ttr 125 had bad tire

check the tyre for a nail or whatever punctured the first tube, when you remove the tube keep it in the same position as it was when it was in the tyre, blow it up and check the hole then check the corresponding place in the tyre for the nail

If the new hole is a small split you may have damaged it during fitting

be careful not to pinch the new tube when fitting
