Hi trace this wire back to ecu, and check her you are getting a signal, (tip) loosly run a wire from her to the coil, and check if this solves the problem, this will eliminate any wiring problem, i trust you have conected the coil up to a diffrent feed and checked it works on 1 that you know works? process of elimenation, the next step would be a dealer diagnostic plug in which may save you money in the long run, they dont have to fix it just tell you the problem, hope this helps, paul

I'm having trouble getting any spark

Check there is 12 volts + terminal of coil , Check the coil HT cable resistance is within specs , remove the center Ht cable from the distributor , hold it a 1/4 inch from the engine block, have a helper engage the starter , a good spark should jump from the cable to the engine block. also check the spark plug Ht cables and renew if not to specs.

95 jag 4.0 no spark, but power to both coil wires , plugs are good

check the distributor cap and rotor button for shorts /cracks and cleanliness. If you have changed the HT leads then check the firing order . Check the HT lead from the coil to the distributor cap.

Daewoo tacuma Just changed my spark plugs and HT leads now enging runs rough and stalls on idle

CHECK YOU FIRING ORDER, YOU MIXED THE IGNITION WIRES, IF IT IS A 4 CYL, FIRST CYLINDER #1 IS NEAR THE BELTS, CHECK COIL WIRES FOR NUMBERS, OR DISTRIBUTOR CAP FOR CYLINDER NUMBER OR COIL PACK FOR CYL #, AND FOLLOW THE WIRES TO THE SPARK PLUGS. MAKE SURE THEY ARE RIGHT, NEXT TIME DO ONE PLUG AND ONE WIRE AT THE TIME.

Error code P0300

code po300 refers to random/multiple cylinder/s--misfire/s detected.===causes-- spark plug/s--HT leads /s--injector /s--ignition coil/s--low compression ---wiring
Check that the HT leads are not touching each other causing spark cross over . Ensure that the coil wires are properly connected . From what you have done, I would revisit everything ( all connections ) to ensure that everything is in order including firing order of the leads

Ignition mystery! 1994 GMC Suburban 2500 5.7 mtr. No spark to spark plugs. Have spark from coil to distributor. Have changed coil wire, cap, rotor, ignition module, and coil. have 12.5 volts going to...

I guess you could have the ignition analyzed on an oscilloscope. Maybe a tech could see something then.
I always heard the only gap was the spark plug gap-the rotor has no gap-are you sure you got the correct rotor? And does it touch the top distributor cap coil wire tower?

Let us know. It is a mystery worthy of a solution.

No spark turns over nice ...but am not getting a spark

The spark intensity is most important .Remove all plugs to check gap and condition of plugs. The black plug indication will confirm that the performance is bad whereas a fully fired plug without deposits must be the ideal view. Check the HT coil and the HT wires, if the intensity is bad this must be swapped and checked to confirm. DO NOT CHANGE any part without a confirmation by trying with a replacement from another vehicle or friend. Finally the LT trigger to the coils must be checked be it from the platinum points or an electronic ignition unit. The voltage of the trigger must be high to give the best HT output.

check the voltage to the sections of the coil and ignition unit which if present will confirm the fault on the unit.

Yamaha xj600 84 mod has spark and fuel but will only turn over and will not fire

Remove the spark plug and flush out the excessive OVERFLOW OF FUEL as the engine failed to start. Unless this is flushed out the overflow of fuel with the dampness will not fire the cylinder.
Also check on the spark intensity with the plug as it must be good.
If not check the HT coils and the HT wires, check the incicent voltage on the HT coils for the coil trigger which must be fluctuating 12 volts.
This must start the engine if the timing is correct.

MY 1969 YAMAHA ENDURO WONT GET SPARK OR FIRE IVE CHECKED EVERY THING I NEED SOME TIPS FAST

Fisrt check the plug and plug cap. Remove this and see if you have spark from the HT wire.
Check points are clean and points gap and make sure the wire is not shorted out and you have spark there.
If not, remove the HT coil wire and condensor wire and check for spark at the points again.
If you have spark then the bottom coil is ok and then connect the condensor wire and check again.
Connect the HT coil wire after checking no shorts and if you have spark at the points and still none at the HT side then your coil is probably faulty.

2 spark plugs not firing

check to see if your plugs need changing and then check your HT/LT leads on the plugs as they may be loose or water clogged somewhere or have a split wire that is just touching enabling it to fire a few times
