We have a Honda 350 TRX 2005 model quad bike and sometime it starts with pressing the ignition button and other times when we try to start it by pushing button you just hear a clicking noise so we have to pull start it, can you tell us how we could fix this...

Lets get started. Place the key in the ignition and turn as if to start your minivan - but do not actually start your Odyssey.

2) Locate and click the black odometer button located near the bottom of the instrument panel until "Oil Life" along with a percentage value appears.

3) Release your finger from the button, then press and hold the button for ten (10) seconds.

4) Once again, release your finger from the button, then press and hold the button for five (5) more seconds. Lets count: one Mississippi, two Mississippi, etc. all the way to five.

5) Your Honda Odyssey's display panel should read "Oil Life 100%." You are done!

You probably have a short in the start button itself.

Supposed to press lock then hold ignition on the remote for approximately 6-8 seconds before the car starts on its own. Heard about a faulty remote start module that is mounted on the roof near the rear under the headliner that needs replaced sometimes.

I have same problem - intermittently in my 2005 Honda Odyssey (Australian Version)! Same story with dealer response since of course it will not do it when I take it in (twice). Honda dealer says he cannot repair problem unless he sees it is broken! Very frustrating!!!!

I have had some success by putting the key in and out of lock several times and then moving it about when I try to start the car - normally this fixes it. I only hope this does not break permanently when I am far from home!

Keen to hear if others have this problem and have found a permanent solution.
