2004 toyota corolla tach wire

Tach wire for 2004 corolla.... ecm - far right wire harness, 2 black wires on that particular harness... it is the black one more towards the left end... verify with a multi volt meter with the positive lead on the constant + 12 volts and probe the ground of the meter on the black wire mentioned above, start the engine and it will read between 1 and 6 volts... I installed the new clifford remote start alarm system 2-way, worked like a charm. You can also get the tach signal under the plastic cover in the engine but i strongly do not recommend that due to heat... my old remote starters tach wire was attached to there and the connection became loose and malfunctoned...

You can also solder the wire to the tach wire, this way it won't come off and cause a malfunction

What wire could I splice into on my 1996 Toyota Corolla so that my Tach can read the RPM's from?

If the tach was an option for your corolla, it is very likely that the wiring harness in your car would have the connector for the tach. They would use the same wiring harness to cut costs, and whatever is not used would be left open on a car without a tach. You will have to find a wiring diagram to check for the tach connector-it would be up under the dash leading to the cluster. In earlier days, tachs were connected to the coil's negative side of the primary circuit.

What is check engine code p0135

Reasons are:
HO2S no. 1 heater circut is open or shorted
HO2S no. 1 is defective
Defective ECM

Using a scan tool, read freeze frame data. Freeze fram data records engine conditions when a malfunction is detected.

Access ECM behind glove box. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, backprobe ECM harness connector. If DTC P0135 is set, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Blue/Black wire) at ECM harness connector E10. If DTC P0155 is set, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Yellow/Red wire) at ECM harness E10. Voltage should be 9-14 volts at each terminal. If voltage is as specified, replace ECM.

If not, Disconnect suspect HO2S No. 1 harness connector. Measure resistance between terminals B+ (Black/Yellow wire) and HT (Blue/Black wire on bank No. 1 ; Yellow/Red wire on bank No. 2) at HO2S connector (component side). Resistance should be 11-16 ohms at 68 degrees F and 23-32 ohms at 1472 degrees F. If resistance are not specified, replace appropriate HO2S. If resistance are specified, Repair wiring between ECM and appropriate HO2S, or between appropriate HO2S and EFI main relay (Black/Yellow wire at HO2S and Red wire at EFI main relay)

P0450 CODE ON 1997 T100 V6 PICKUP. WHAT IS it and how can I fix it?

Good day
P0450 is Evaporate emission system pressure sensor/switch
the cause could be
1. short or open in the vapor pressure sensor circuit
2.vapour pressure sensor
3. ECM

You can test with the following
you can access the ECM behind the glove box. turn ignition on,backprobe the ECM connector, on A/T models, measure voltage between terminals #1 (green/black wire) and #22 (brown/black wire) at the ECM E6 connector. on M/T models measure the voltage between terminals #1 (green/black wire) and #9 (brown/black wire) at ECM E6. if voltage is 4.5 - 5.5 volts, go to the next step. If the voltage is not 4.5 - 5.5 volts, replace ECM and retest.
2. back-probe ECM connector on A/T models measure voltage between terminals #15 (red/blue wire) and #22 (brown/black wire) at ECM E6. on M/T models measure voltage between terminals #4 (red/blue wire) at ECM E5 and connector #9 (brown/black wire) at ECM E6 connector. on all models disconnect the vacuum hose from the vapor pressure sensor. sensor is located near the brake master cylinder. connect a vacuum pump to sensor. if voltage is 2.9-3.7 volts without vacuum applied and 1.3-2.1 volts with .59 in.Hg (2kpa) vacuum applied. replace ECM and retest if voltage is not as specified go to next step.
3. check for open r short circuit in the wiring harness between vapor pressure sensor and ECM. repair wiring as necessary. if wiring harness is okay replace the vapor pressure sensor.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Defective tachometer and speedometer

Do the following:1)key in the ON position:remove the 7.5 gauge fuse.Tach needle should read "0:". 2)put it back,go on the engine and unplug the green plug on the igniter -the big one, with 5 or 6 wires on it.The needle on tach reading should be zero.If not you have a short circuit on the black wire between that plug and the plug on the conbination meter.3) If the reading is zero with the plug disconnected, the black wire for the tach is short-circuited inside the igniter. I have one available.email [email protected]

2004 corolla

That is true, just installed the clifford matrix one mile range remote starter system... while looking at the pcm, it will be the harness farthest to the right. yes there are 2 black wires but the correct one is the left of the 2 on the very far right harness... verify with a volt meter... hook up positive lead to constant + 12 volt source and probe the ground to that black wire and start the engine... meter will read between 1-6 volts... good luck.
