Scanner said #4 cyl mis-fire changed #4 coil still reads #4 mis-fire any ideas

Have a 95 Accord 4 cyl. I cleaned the battery terminals and changed the high voltage coil as well as two of the four plugs.

Can't hurt.
I would change the spark plugs first.
No check engine light when you are driving ?

it will do no harm at all to use redexe/wynns injector cleaner at the rate of 1 can to 5 gallons of gas.you may get an improvement.also try an engine oil additive for "flushing"before a full oil change.
(as i live in England i dont know the makers names for your additives) if you do an oil change use 5/30 full synthetic to renew so that it goes around the oilways quicker than a "thick" oil.as a "by the way"i have NEVER changed the head for "STICKY " valve as i dont believe there is such a thing.....unless the valve has been replaced with a wrong size stem...........

sounds like it might be a fuel inj ,does it have a misfire code which cyl , try swapping fuel injs see if misfire changes cyls and follows fuel inj to different cyl

do you have a code or a mis fire cause the coil packs have a tendacy to go but the code will tell which cyl or which sensor to start with most parts stores lately will have a scanner to tell a code

The very first thing that you should do after finding a cylinder mis-fire that can not be easily explained such as a fouled spark plug, is to take a compression test especially of the mis-firing cylinder to be certain that the mis-fire is not caused by a mechanical problem, and I have seen people spend a lot of time and money trying to hunt down an electrical problem when the actual problem was a mechanical one, and no electronic part will repair a burnt or bent intake or exhaust valve.

yeah start with the coil on #3 cyl but the 1320 code means acording to nissan all coils should be replaced but to save money start with # cyl

check spark at coil pack,then check compression if no problem found with coil pack,when does it skip,all the time,under load,a scanner can read miss fire and what cyl.

Then the coil is bad. Even if the specs were ok, which they r not, the cracked case means its junk.

The most coomon thing is a coil. You cant really test without a scanner or way to test coil output. But you should replace the spark plugs and the #3 Ignition coil. Use MOTORCRAFT PLATINUM Spark Plugs only. Number 3 is the 3rd back on the Passenger side. Be sure there is no water/coolant on the spark plug well, if there is coolant, one of the heater hoses may be leaking. Take coils out, using a 7mm socket, be sure to blow out the spark plug hole with compressed air before removing the spark plug. Take the rubber boot off each coil and place some "silicone dielectric grease" in th ecavity for the coil end to keep out moisture. Cyls 1 2 3 4 on pass side, 5 6 7 8 on drivers side. After you are done, remove the positive battery cable for a few minutes to clear the memory and long term fuel trims.
