I am unable to put my 2001 Ford Escape xls into gear! When I push the clutch pedal down all the way to the Floor and try to enter a gear it will not go at all. I had issues with it in the morning it did not feel right i had to push my Clutch all the way down to the floor then had to fight to put it into gear after i released it it seemed the catch point was right at the floor and normally it sits half way down so that is when i noticed the issue and now i am unable to get it into gear at all. when I turn the car off with the e-Brake on i can move the shifter into any gear with out pushing the clutch down! Does anyone know what the issue could be?

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang, v6 3.8 5 speed manual

The clutch is not fully releasing. You can try putting it into some other gear first, then rapidly moving to first gear, but really, you need to either adjust the clutch, or get it repaired.

Clutch goes all the way down to the floor, unable ...

Does the clutch pedal offer any resistance? The clutch and brake system use the same reservoir, there is a hose coming out from the side of the reservoir that goes over to the clutch master cylinder. Sometimes the brake fluid level goes low as brake pads wear and lowers the fluid level too low to work the clutch. On the front side of the transmission, is a clutch slave cylinder, check it for leaks, if it leaks replace it. Hope this helps, let me know.

Clutch pedal went too floor pulled back up now solid and not lettin engage gears

It is probably a hydraulic clutch. Check the fluid. From your description, I am understanding that the pedal feels normal but you are unable to put the car in gear when you push the pedal down. You probably have a leaky slave cylinder on the transmission, but it is possible to have a leaky master cylinder (on the firewall, aligned with the clutch pedal). Check your fluid, if it's empty fill it and bleed the system. You probably have a really big air bubble in your clutches hydraulic system. Usually you can get away with not replacing the leaking part for a bit, just keep an eye on your fluid, and save your pennies! Good luck!!!

If hydraulic actuated mechanism, loss of fluid, defective master cylinder or slave cylinder at the clutch. Missing pin or other part between slave cylinder and clutch arm. Loose or broken slave cylinder mounting. Missing pin or broken part between pedal and master cylinder. If mechanical linkage, look for broken components or missing pins at moving joints.
