Hi there.

Check all spark points are working correctly. As you say, new spark module, so there must be a breakdown of insulation somewhere. Check to see where it may be arcing across. Usually at a trapped wire or hot contact point.

Whirlpool WFG371LVB gas oven won't stay on. Already replaced igniter. Any other suggestions?

I believe you need to replace the direct spark ignition module, but refer to the note below.
Direct spark ignition module. NOTE: This part is often misdiagnosed. Use the wiring diagram and check for an open circuit through the gas valve. Also inspect the igniter and burner tube.

Oven and broiler won't light

You may need to replace the part called the igniter module. It is what creates the spark that fires the gas.

Kenmore gas range when no clicking when turning the oven on

Range: Gas burner won't spark or ignite A surface burner igniter switch and a spark module activate the spark electrode when a burner is turned to the "Lite" position on a gas range's cooktop. If the surface burner switch, spark module or wiring in that circuit fails, the spark electrode won't work, and as a result the gas burner won't light. If those components work but the electrode won't spark, the problem could be that the spark electrode is coated with spilled food of is bent or broken. In addition, the electrode won't spark or ignite the burner properly if the ceramic insulation sleeve below the tip of the electrode is cracked or broken. If the gas burner isn't lighting, these repairs may help.

Replace the spark igniter electrode

1396454293470.jpg The spark igniter electrode-also called the surface burner igniter-is an insulated electrode that provides an ignition spark to light a surface gas burner. It sparks and makes a ticking sound when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the spark ignition electrode if it fails to spark or if the ceramic insulation sleeve is cracked or chipped. How to Replace a Spark Igniter Electrode in a Gas Range Find This Part

Replace the surface spark module

1377098014986.jpg The surface spark module is in the ignition circuit for the gas surface burners. When a surface burner control knob is turned to the "Lite" position, it provides voltage to the spark electrodes on the gas surface burners. If the surface spark module fails to provide the electrodes with voltage, then it should be replaced. Find This Part

Replace the spark igniter switch

1396454315355.jpg The igniter switch is an electrical switch on the stem of the gas surface burner control valve. This switch completes a circuit to the surface burner spark module, causing the burner igniters to spark when the burner switch is turned to the Lite position. Replace the burner igniter switch if the burners don't spark when you turn the burner control knob to the Lite position or if igniters spark constantly even when the burner knobs are in the Off position.

All igniters won't lite. very weak spark

Hello,

The part called the SPARK MODULE is what produces the spark for the surface burners and it is what i would highly suspect as being the problem. Typically the spark module is located on the back behind the rear panel.

My oven's bake will not come on. You can hear the gas come on, but it will not ignite. My range and broil are working. Had it serviced, but after replacing the ignitor, gas valve and module, it...

Hello,

The holes on the actual bake burner bar(tube) could be clogged so ya hear the gas coming out the rest of it, the spark cant ignite the gas since the gas isn't getting to the spark. If it hasn't been done the holes could be poked with a paper clip to assure their clear,or the burner bar could be replaced. If that doesn't fix it it's what my airplane mechanic friend would call a hanger queen and that plane will never fly.

Good luck,i hope this helps,

Whirlpool Gas Range Oven will not start (gas flows, but no spark)

The ignitor does 2 things. It creates the spark for ignition and it signals the control the burner is lit(flame sensor). If the ignitor and wire are new the spark module is bad. If all spark components have been replaced then I would be searching for a poor ground wire. Are you by any chance using a GFCI circuit? Not recommended and if it worked on this type of circuit you were just plain lucky.

Whirlpool 465. The top range burners will not ignite. I can hear and smell the gas. The oven burner works fine. Do I need to replace an ignitor for the range?

The bake is seperate from the burner ignition system. You may need a new spark module for the top burners. All burners should spark at the same time even if you are only trying to lite one burner.
