Everyone I know is looking for a pulse generator for a 1986 Honda Shadow VT 700 C. They can't be found anywhere! This is a downright shame! This bike is in great condition and I may have to scrap it. Can you help?

No this model did not come with a fuel pump. Actually the VT 700 Series was the only Honda from 1986 that contained a fuel pump.

hi have you thought about having the old 1 repaired, there are companies who would do that for you. i know it may not help much but i thought it worth a go

Could be a bad pulse generator. It sends the signal from the stator to the coil.

hi,

locate the crankase cover to the left of the engine towards the lower end of the motor. if the bike has a center stand place it upon it t\and undo the crank cover once removed you will visually see the pulse generator it is like a large type style magnet. good luck
