20002 Road king will not fully engauge into 1st gear

Check the position of the shifter arm. It should be sitting just behind the front bolt on the transmission cover plate. If it is not then the shifter arm has likely been loose and rotated on the shifter shaft.

My 2005 road king shift shaft on my transmission seems stripped

Could quite well be OR the screw on the shift arm is loose. If you can tighten it with a ling 1.4 inch ball Allen okay but if not you will need to pull the primary cover and the inner primary case to get at the shift shaft and if it is stripped you will need to pull the transmission cassette to get the shifter pawl and shaft assembly out. The weld on the pawl assembly alos breaks and then when the shifter arm turns the shaft the pawl doe not turn. This also requires transmission disassembly to repair.

My 2006 Road King toe shifter is stripped. How do I replace the post that the heel / toe shifter levers attach to? Is it difficult for an average, mechanically inclined guy? I'm trying to save some cash....

If that's where your shifter is stripped, you're lucky. Usually, they strip back where the shifter rod connects to the shifter pawl shaft.

To replace the shaft at the shifter lever, just take the floor board off and the bolts that hold the shifter bracket on. Slide the bracket off the shaft and take the shifter rod off the shaft. No problem.

Good Luck

My 2005 road king wont downshift any suggestions??

Even the linkage on the outside of the transmission looks good, the problem is on the inside. I think your shifter pawl hold down spring is broken. Have you tried to shift the transmisson up and down with the engine not running? Just rock the bike backwards and forwards while trying to shift the transmission. If the transmission does not shift doing this, the problem is definately in the transmission. Harley has a problem with their shifter pawls and shifter pawl return springs. I've replaced many of them. A complete disassembly of the transmission is required. Verify by pulling the top cover off the transmission and watch the shifter pawl as you try to downshift.

Good Luck

You need a "pin number" that is already programmed into your alarm and you use that turn signals to enter the code. Your dealer should help you.
