I reckon rear shocks top mounts might be torn or mount nuts loose. check the shock shaft and spring seat weather its off seat.

Have a 2005 Mitsu Lancer. Having front suspension problems. Had the shocks replaced + new tierod- still when it goes over a bump- sounds like there is no/weak suspension. Have about 43,000 Miles on it...

You could change the whole thing if you wanted too but I would recommend that you go to another shop. A good mechanic should be able to locate the problem and repair it for you. Sounds to me like the dealership is trying to get more money from you than need be. I have never heard of anyone having to change out the entire front end of a car. Find someone with more knowledge.

Good Luck to you.

My 97 Grand Cherokee is terrible hard on back brakes. The rotors rot prematurely. I have to replace pads & rotors every 6 months to a year. Any advice?

At the rear of the vehicle is a junction for the brake lines. It's called a proportioning valve. It's function is to change the amount of braking that goes to the front and rear of the car,in relation to how the vehicle is loaded.Big load in the back, more braking.Small load, less braking. This helps stop the rears locking up when empty and the car spinning out.
There is a metal rod that connects the rear end suspension to this valve.
I would say this is your problem.Rod may be bent or stuck or the valve may need to be looked at.
Hope this helps you

My 2003 Volkswagen Passat makes a terrible nolise in the rear end when getting in and out of the car, what is that? The noise is like a squeaking, rubbing noise

This would most likely be suspension related, but to find it you need to safely jack up the car and actuate the suspension in the same way, to make the squeak, Look for shiny spots where something may be rubbing, look closely and listen at rear shocks and springs...

2005 chevy tahoe has a terrible roar coming from the rear differential. The roar becomes an unbearable whine at 45 mph. Any ideas what is causing this problem?

roar fron the rear end indicates the pinion is not meshing with the crown , most probably bad bearings, disconnect the drive shaft and rock the yoke or turn it slow you will feel the roughness, the only fix is replacement of the rear end

Towing help on 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

You really, really want a suspension specialist. Look in the yellow pages. You want a place that not only sells stuff but installs it. The kind of place that puts new springs in trucks, esp bigger trucks. They'll be in a larger city. In addition, you might want to get rid of the lift kit. It is affecting your handling but that's not your real problem, just a thought. Perhaps even, the guy who installed the lift kit moused the rear suspension, otherwise it would not be lower now. I suspect you have even less suspension than the truck came with.

Squeaky Rear suspension

I had the same problem. I had the control arms repaced in the back when my car was still under warranty. See if a mechanic can take a look at it to be sure.
