Question about 1981 Yamaha XJ 650
You will require a carb syncronizer. This tool measures the vacuume of all of the carbs at once and the tools are available on EBAY. It gives you a reading and you will be able to match all of the carbs. The tool plugs into a vacuume port on the carb, then the idle mixture and the carb cables are ajusted to equalize them. Once this operation is completed, the bike will run beautifully. Hope this helps.
