Not sure what you mean by a slide moving, but it sounds like a carb based issue. Carb balancing needs to happen at idle, like most people know, but ALSO at 2500 or so, actuated by throttle control. Balancing at the higher speed makes your machine run tons better and last longer.

My 1989 honda gl 1500 gold wing wont start in cold weather, it cranks over

Mine does the same thing. I put a new gel battery with high cold cranking amps from Advanced Auto Parts. Look to spend 100 bucks. Choke at full choke and it starts right up now. Gold Wings are cold natured. I own 2 and both are. But the battery took care of the cold starts.

My 1994 ultra classic shifts ok but the bike wont go over 35 mph.

Take the air filter off but leave the backing plate on. Start the engine and rev it up a bit while watching the slide inside the carb. It should move up and back down when you rev the engine. Now, don't rev it so high as to blow the engine up just up to about three thousand RPM or so. Don't get your face too close to the carb. If the slide doesn't move up and down, you've probably got a hole in the diaphragm that controls the movement of the slide. That's my best guess since you didn't say it was running badly just wouldn't run over 35 miles per hour.

Good luck
Steve

How to remove reaqr tire 1995 gold wing 1500se

Center stand the bike if possible high enough that you can drop the wheel out the bottom other wise you may have to take off a saddlebag , loosen the rear axle nut, take out the bolt, knock out the spacer , lift the caliper assembly out of the way and hang it by a wire, grab the wheel, and slide it sideways away from the final drive. The wheel should slide right off the spline of the final drive and roll out the back under the fender. If the wheel wont slide past the final drive let the air out of the tire. Be sure to coat the spline of the final drive with moly60 paste from your local Honda dealer when reassembling.

2006 gold wing, how do you get to the high beams bulbs to change out

Dude, they are complicated to replace. You can remove the fairing pockets to try to get to the bulbs, but that will never work, and scar your wrists. Easiest way is to remove the seat, instrument cover, and the shelter. You can `easily\' get to the rubber gaskets and bulbs that way. The right side is cake, but the left side has a fixed harness in the way that will give you fits trying to get the gasket back on. I finally lubed the inside bead with a bit of oil and was able `screw\' the gasket back on. Trust me, a few beers and somne liberal cursing helped me get through the left side. Oh, and remember to put a touch of electric gel on the H7 prongs.

My 1983 Honda Gold Wing Aspencade runs well but if Igo to rev up the engine it makes a knocking noise then the noise goes away. I will also do this when I go to pull out when increasing the throttle but...

You may have a rod bearing gone bad on you. Unplug one spark plug wire at the time and rev the engine. When you find the cylinder that unplugging the wire stops the noise, that's where your problem is.

Good Luck

They are the same. It is one bulb with two separate elements high and low. You have to replace the bulb. kind of hard to explain how to do it though.
