Odometer stopped working

How many miles are on this vehicle? I ask because the odometers in these car stop working around the 140k to 170k mark. Did the button comeback? Is this the mileage on the digital or analog trip meter?
The process to change the odometer gear is fairly straight forward and takes less than $20 and an hour. Let me know.

How do you reset mileage on a 95 caprice

can't change the odometer. If it's the tripmeter, a little rod should come out of your dash near meter. Press it to return to zero.

I WANT TO SHUT OFF THE LIGHT MAINT REQ IN THE DASH

Make sure the odometer is set to odometer and not tripmeter.

Stick the key in the ignition. Hold down the odometer reset button, turn the key to the on position(don't start the truck) and hold it until the lines are gone..

You will automatically see a few lines in the odometer that will start to go away. Once all the lines are gone, the counter has been reset.

The following is from peugeotdiesel.com bot seems to be valid for all models:
1. Switch the Ignition Off
2. Press and hold the tripmeter (mileage reset) button on the dash
3. Now switch the ignition to the ON position
4. Keep the button pressed for 10 seconds
5. The display will read '0' and the service symbol will extinguish.

Also, can disconnect the battery for a few minutes. This should clear the code. Unless you have fixed the problem that set the code it will come on again.

I hope help you with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.

Odometer stopped working

IF YOUR SPEEDO IS WORKING THEN YOUR VSS IS OKAY, BAD VSS WILL STOP SPEEDO AND USALLY CAUSE HARD SHIFTING. NORMALLY ODO IS CONTROLLED BY SERVO MOTOR WHICH MAY HAVE WENT OUT. CHECK EBAY FOR REPAIR SERVICES OR SIMPLY GET A SALVAGE CLUSTER AND HAVE MILEAGE RESET

Odometer\tripmeter stop working

Pull the drive cable out of the odometer and try to turn it. If it turns the drive in your gearbox is worn out and needs to be replaced.

06 Corolla maint req light

Here is the proceedure:

Turn the key to ON

Observe the odometer, ensure that it says "ODO", and your total mileage travelled, not "trip A" or "trip B"

Turn the key off.

Press & hold the black tripmeter reset button, hold it until advised to release

Thurn the key to the ON position (do NOT start the car)

Observe the odometer.

You should see 5 dashes, then 4 dashes, then 3 dashes, then 2 dashes, then 1 dash, and then 5 zeros; and then whatever mileage you started with will be redisplayed.

Release the trip meter reset button

Your reset proceedure is complete.
