Question about 2003 Yamaha YZ 450 F
You need the valves adjusted(badly),possibly a valve shim kit, this is very common on all 4-stroke engines.your supossed to adjust the valves every 15-20 hrs of riding.first thing you need if you want to do it yourself is a repair manual(clymer,ect.).You can buy them on e-bay for around $30.00 and you can buy the shim kits on there also.and a cheap filler gauge from auto-zone,and about 30min-1hr to do the work.or you can take it in and have it done at the steelership for around $70.00. ps. dont run her to long without having it done or you can burn the valves up,and that wont be easy or cheep to fix...just FYI..... latter......YZ-maniac.(I ride em like i stole em)
