Question about 1996 Yamaha TRX 850

1 Answer

Engine begins to missfire after riding at higer revs for a spell, then seems to run on one cylinder, eventually picking up power and running normally until I gun it again.. at first i thought I needed to go on reserve, that`s what it felt like, but I think it`s definitely a carb problem, the bike has done 56000 kms and has been regularly serviced by Team moto cairns.. in fact the problem only emerged after a service by this mob.

You're getting slow fuel delivery to one of the carbs, and when you rev it it dries the bowl, probably need cleaning

Hi i have a 97 hyundai tiburon,my car lose power after4300rpm on dyno run graph, what could be the cause? And i cant plug a diagnosis machine it doesnt pick up machine

Sort of depends on what you mean by "lose power". It is quite normal for most engines to have lower torque at high revs than at lower revs. Air intake isn't as efficient, each cylinder charge is smaller, etc.
You might want to put in a new air cleaner, check fuel filter and pressure...

3800 series2 flutters, missfires with powerloss when acceleration is apllied but idles fine, surges when warm and seems to run normal when very light on throttle. eventually gains and maintains highway

Have the intake gaskets been replaced? you could be getting a little coolant in the cylinder. these are a SUPER common problem on 3.8 series 2 engines

My Yardman 13.5 hp Briggs rider revs up and sputters, revs up and sputters.

Does this engine have overhead valves. If yes they need to be checked for proper valve clearance. The engine must be cold to check this.

Check the prongs on the #1 coil to see if it is crackd if it is left alone it will eventually turn to a multiple misfire, also take the coil off to make sure nothing is shorting out.

Slow idle after getting hot

how hot is very hot? heat management will ****** idle and eventually drop a cylinder but if you are getting that hot routinely something else is going on...I'm in Phoenix, ride alot and have only been in heat management 1 or twice in the past year+

Ive got a focus st170 and about 4000 revs it seems to missfire

If you mean in neural it misses this is normal. It has a rev limiter to save the engine. You are bouncing it off the chip at 4000 rpm.
