Question about 2006 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
Look under the seat or behind the triangular plate on the left side of the bike for the fuses. Check to see if you've blown a fuse. Also make sure you've got all the wires connected to the battery. The positive post has a large battery cable connected to it but sometimes it has a smaller wire for the "accessories" on the bike. These 'accessories" are everything on the bike other than the starter motor. Now, not to be confused with the 'accessories" position on the switch. Basically, you have a large cable to conduct the high amperage that the starter requires. The smaller wire carries the voltage through the ignition switch to the ignition system and lights. Sometimes there's even a wire on each post of the battery that is a "pigtail" for a battery charger.
If the fuses are intact and everything is connected correctly, it's either the ECM or a security system has got you down.
