Question about Yamaha XT 660 R Motorcycles
I'm almost positive it is your battery, I had same problem, I'm on 3 or 4th battle! That big one cylinder has alot of compression, and really needs a good strong battery to start it. It isn't your relay, or it would not even engage the starter, it would just make a faint click. And you would be able to start it with no problem by jumping relay by touching both terminals together, peaceout.

Howz your battery, is it fully charged? Charged it using a trickle charge to full capacity.
The fuses are they good or blwon? Replace if blown.
Check your sppark plug if not been replaced in the last 6-12 months
