Check your standard factory specs for spark plugs, it sounds like ur bike getting OVERHEAT!

Did you happen to check the over head valve camshaft? Ussually that bike , w/ age happen to be more tha 10 yrs old, cam shaft, valve guide are worn out and out of clearance! Check it please!

Hope that make your bike be reliable again!

remove and clean the idle sensor valve. pull out and clean the PCV valve (on top of the valve cover).blow out (from the inside) the air filter. do not apply gas until after your vehicle starts.

My 1998 Honda shadow keeps blowing the main 30 amp fuse as soon as you hook up the battery. Any suggestions

Hi, Steven you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. My 1985 Olds cutlass won't start and the engine keeps flooding. I get a strong oudour of gas as well.

Every time you try to start it, it dumps fuel. Pull a plug wire and check for spark. If you have spark. replace the plugs, they are fouled out. If no spark, look at the crank sensor, ignition module, coil, cap and rotor. You will still need to replace the plugs..

Why wont my bike start when it gets hot ?....

Hi, Stacey and the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ignition coil.
2. Faulty spark plug cables.
3. Faulty temperature sensor.
4. Faulty starter motor.
5. Valves adjusted too tight.
6. Spark plug gap too wide.
7. Fuel has vapor lock.

LINCOLN 225 WELDER OLDER MODEL ABOUT 1985. 16HPENGINE. AFTER GETTING GOOD AND WARMED UP IT STARTS MISSING SOMETIMES BACK FIRES EVENTUALLY DIES. REPLACED COIL REBUILT CARB ,NEW FUEL FILTER AND LINES....

check plug and wire. you will want to do a compression test while you have the spark plug out and make sure you have no blow-by that will cause it to miss.

Flooded car

first, not to panic. Unless you submerged your engine there is only a matter of some water getting on your ignition syste. Don't pull any plugs, won't help. Basicly its a dry out thing. The steam from your exhaust definately filled tthe engine compartment with plenty of moisture. Your car is new enough to where s little moisture will be overcome. If you stalled in water that deep, there is also the issue of having filled your exhaust system with water.. The car will not start with the exhaust blocked with water. It will be obvious if thats the case. It will blow water from tthe tail pipe. If it does start, any waterr will blow out and what doesn't will go away when everything heats up.

Car problem

I think that problem is in the fuel pump.
The pump send too many fuel in the motor and then it stops. He starts again when fuel evaporated.
