It could any or all of several problems. First, there are two screws that hold your right switch half together. Loosen the screws and slide the throttle assembly outwards toward the end of the handlebar about a 1/4" or so. Retighten the bolts and check the throttle return. If you leave it this way, you may need to move the front brake master cylinder down the same way to put the brake light out.

If this doesn't fix it, try loosening the throttle and idle cable just a bit. You should have some freeplay in it. If that doesn't fix it, you need to it back to the people that put you grips on and let them fix it.

Good Luck

Details on removing the clutch cable from a 2005 harley sportster 883 XL custom

Find the cable adjuster in the middle of the cable, loosen the lock nut, and turn the adjuster barrel inwards to get as much slack in the cable as possible. Take the E-clip off the bottom of the clutch lever pivot pin and remove the pin. Pull the lever out and disconnect the cable from the lever. Stand the bike straight up and drain the primary case. Down on the primary, take the round plate off to expose the clutch release mechanism. Disconnect the clutch cable from the link that connects to the release mechanism. Screw the end of the cable out of the primary case. Install in reverse order and readjust the cable. Add oil back to the primary case.

How do I get the throttle sleeve out of the throttle grip?

Depends on whether you're trying to save the grip or the sleeve. I'd replace the sleeve and the grip at the same time if you're replacing the grip. The sleeves aren't that expensive. But you can try to work a long thin bladed screwdriver down between the sleeve and the grip. Then spray some WD-40 or something in between the grip and sleeve. Try to work the grip off.

I have a 2005 harley davidson sportster xl 1200 custom. after bike is at normal operating temp.when i stop for redlight or stop sign, bike idles to fast.i can let out on clutch little bit and it will slow...

If the carb is adjusted correctly, the engine will not idle without the choke when cold. I will usually take at least 3 to 5 miles of riding to get the engine warm enough to idle by itself without the choke. If your bike is a full operating temperature, it should idle at about 1000 RPM. If it's idling higher than this, you need to slow it down a bit.

Remove the air filter cover and look at the top right side of the carb. You'll see a screw there . This is the throttle stop screw. Turn the screw counterclockwise to lower the idle speed to 1000 RPM or so. Blip the throttle and let it settle back to idle. Reset it if necessary. Once set, put the air cleaner cover hand on.

How to install new grips to my harley 2006 sportster xl1200c

pay attention to how it comes apart so it will be easier for you to replace.
there are 2 torx head bolts near the end of the grips in a cast alloy housing which also holds the mirrors in place, undo the bolts and remove, this will let the grips slide off the handle bars but on the right side you will have to undo the adjusting nut on the throttle cable and release the tension to be able to remove the cable from the grip so you can slide that off as well

2005 sporster 1200 custom running like **** missing cuts off after warming , then will start up and run 5 minutes later?

Sounds like you're fouling your plugs with the enricher. If you leave your enricher on the entire time during the warmup, you may be fouling your plugs. The enricher is very rich so I usually leave the enricher on just long enough to get the engine to where I can keep it running with the throttle grip. Go light with the enricher.
