Shashi, Check from the silensor. Put a finger in it. If there is black soot on the finger then you need a new set of piston rings. As you already have oil on the spark plug, it means new rings and or piston too.

My i have discovery bike model 2005 125cc engine became very hot about 75 % while running 20 to 40 kmeter

Hi, Balaraj.m and the usual suspects are:
1. Insufficient oil supply, or oil not circulating.
2. Insufficient air flows over the engine.
3. Heavy carbon deposits.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, and/or CMP sensors.
5. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
6. Water coolant low or pump failure.

Was running fine when I turned it off. Why no power now?

Hi Jerry:
You need spark at the plug, and
Fuel in the jug.

It has to be one or the other that is not happening.
I'd start by checking the spark plug(s), then the carb for fuel flow.

Regular maintenance?
Fuel filter?
Oil change?
Air filter?

Hi can some one tell me why after fitting new spark plug motor stopped after about 10 minutes of use and plug required cleaning before restart

Dear
As you mentioned the plug required cleaning, indicates the plug gets carbon due to un burnt oil or dirty. Pl. check fuel filter air filter for clean. If the plug gets oily after 10 minutes it may be due to the oil ring of the piston of that particular cylinder. If its so it has to be restored at workshop.

Thanks.

Hi Engineers, I have a Prob in Bajaj Discover 125cc DTSi bike model 2007

Hi Anonymous, the following tips are low cost easy to apply/install and guaranteed to give you better gas mileage and a smoother running bike. The average motorcycle gets 35-40 MPG. saving .2 gallon of gas could save you a 6-mile walk. 125cc scooters have been known to get 115 plus MPG
1. Proper tire inflation as per MFG. specifications wheels should be balanced and spokes tight.
2. Oil and coolant levels maintained at full marks, low levels produce excessive heat that causes the engine to work harder and reduces efficiency.
3. Keep extra weight to a minimum.
4. Take off from a dead stop should be smooth and easy throttle applied avoid excessive throttle snaps.
5. Smaller windshields get better MPH than large ones, wind resistance increases as a square of the speed at which you're traveling. So, for example, at 70 mph, wind resistance is double what it is at 50 mph (70 squared is almost twice as much as 50 squared). That will dramatically reduce your mileage. Keep that in mind while biking.
6. Keep idle time to a bare minimum or turn off the engine.
7. Re-jet carburetor with a smaller main and mid-range jet.
8. Keep chain/belt properly adjusted.
9. Avoid quick braking, hasty acceleration, high-speed driving, try driving the speed limit and keep a constant speed.
10. On long trips use freeways or flat straight stretches of highways rather than city or rural routes avoid hills and mountains when possible.
11. Keep your engine clean, dirt and grease/oil hold in heat.
12. A full-face helmet is more aerodynamic than other types of helmets. Any other clothing that decreases your aerodynamic should be reconsidered.
13. Any unnecessary bling on your bike is going to decrease fuel efficiency.
14. Use high-quality fuel using low-quality fuel can cause sludge in your fuel injectors.
15. Keep warm up time to a minimum get off the choke ASAP.
16. Motorcycles run best when their engines are maintained, and that includes making sure the air filter is clean, the spark plugs are fresh, the fuel filter is free, and the timing/valves are adjusted.

Hi, Ashish the following tips are low cost easy to apply/install and guaranteed to give you better gas mileage and a smoother running bike. The average motorcycle gets 56-64 KMPL. saving .2 Litre of gas could save you a 10 Kilometer walk. 125cc scooters have been known to get 185 KMPL.and more.

5. Smaller windshields get better KMPH than large ones, wind resistance increases as a square of the speed at which you're traveling. For example, at 112 KMPH, wind resistance is double what it is at 80 KMPH (70 squared is almost twice as much as 50 squared). That will dramatically reduce your mileage. Keep that in mind while biking.
6. Keep idle time to a bare minimum or turn off the engine.

SOMETIMES MY OIL LIGHT WILL COME ON AND I CAN HEAR THE LIFTERS KNOCKING AND THEN AT OTHER TIMES ITS FINE WHAT COULD BE CAUSING WHEN THE CAR HAS OIL

Hi, this i feel could be due to a sticky oil relief valve if the car is high milage( carbon buildup),or the oil and filter hasn't be changed regular. could be the wrong viscosity oil installed. worst sinario is the oil galeries are part blocked.this could lead to the engine camshaft seizing or the big ends giving up,both exspencive repairs.surgest proffesonal diagnosis/opinion is sort.

What kind of oil can i use in my 1999 gs 300 is synthetic oil better or jus use regular oil which do u perfer?

Synthetic oil is better than carbon based oil because it is cleaner, lasts longer, more efficient & wont leave carbon build up like conventional oil. But if you ran regular oil for quite awhile, your engine will have carbon build up. Synthetic oil breaks up the buildup. That is good. Bad thing is sometimes that buildup is keeping you from leaking or burning oil. If you switch to synthetic oil keep an eye on oil consumption. If you start using or leaking it out of gaskets or seals, you will need to get it out & put in regular oil. If not, you can go longer between oil changes & your engine will run more efficiently for a longer period of time.

Hi all, my 99 sub.350,300k,missfire #2

Have you checked the distr cap for cracks??

If plug is oily looking on brand new plug I would suspect worn rings, which would also explain the high PSI. (Motor job in the wind) Especially for 300K.
