You need to replace the voltage regulator. That's the first thing I would do.

Hope this helps.

The bikes wiring loom's main earth point is on the RH side of the frame, roughly where you're right knee is positioned when riding the bike.

Overheated battery my 99 vfr 800 recently suffered from a overheated and cooking battery, and the whole electrical system faded out, and the bike impossible to start. Strong smell of sulphur. New battery...

Your voltage regulator is bad. She is over-charging. From your description, when this happens the charging system is putting to much voltage/amps back into the battery. The regulator senses battery voltage and then cuts back the amount of alternator output.

05 vfr intercepter 800 abs. The FI light came on the way to work and on the way back it flashed two times went off for about 1 maybe 2 sec. Then repeated. What's she telling me?

It is telling you the Fuel Injection system sensors have detected a problem. Minorproblems will still let the bike run. Major problems will not let the bike start. Ride to a Honda dealer and let them hook up a code reader. The reader will show what the sensors have detected. Now determine if you want to fix it or have the dealer fix it, based on what the problem is. Please rate my answer.

I stored my honda vfr 800 for two years. When I tried to start it, it would not start. It used to work alright before storage. It is quite new. What might be wrong with it?

Have you charges the battery? Is it turning over at normal rate. Have you put fresh fuel in it. 2 year old fuel will present a problem.
Mine would die and it turned out that the regulator / rectifier was shot also it buggered the alternator so need all new bits.
Common misconception is that it's just a faulty battery but can be more serious. Get a sparky to check it out.

Bike VFR 800 - 2006. Bought with 2000 Kms on the clock March 2010. Went well until 6000kms service done by Honda dealer. At 8000kms started leaking oil from filter. Checked tightness and found to be...

There are a number of simlpe things that you can do in this situation.1) only use Honda filters,I find some of the after market ones poor.2)Check the seat where the oil filter sits for burrs or nasties.3) Are you overfilling your oil, this will cause the oil pressure to go sky high and leak where it can.4) are you 100% positive that is coming from the filter ring,Many tines it comes from above the filter and the extra burns off misleading you into believing its the filter.I just went through the same thing with my bike and it tuned out to be a base gasket. You may have to strip away some plastic on the bike to get a good look.Good luck and good riding.
