1995 Buell S2 Battery will not start the bike

Sounds like the battery is not holding a charge, if you connect a volt meter just after charging you will get a good reading, each cell of a battery is 2.2 volts so you should have a reading of 13 volts. Battery may have a faulty cell, which will drag the other cells down, is the electolite covering the plates in all the cells, this will affect the battery's ability to hold a charge. My Suzuki did this earlier on this year, nearly bought a new battery, checked and topped up the electolite first and its been fine since

Kangoo van 17dci laying for 8 weeks and now wont start

when you say won go do you mean that there is no power at all,( flat battery,) there is power only lights in the dash? First of all check whether you do have powerful Battery for a crank start. If not then ask for a help from a qualified electrician to jump start it by means of a strong battery and leads. 8 weeks it is a long time for a battery to drop power down possible completely dead if the battery is old.

07 Ninja won't start

sitting is the worst thing for a bike. you have a bad battery. if you have to leave the bike for a long time, put it on a battery tender or at least start it up once a week. the gas will go bad in the fuel system and the battery will fail. also, when you get a battery, make sure to get a good one from the dealer, dont get the cheap ones from walmart or autozone. a factory battery will last 2-5 years. you will be lucky to get 1 year from a cheap battery.

Hi i have an 08 xv1900a midnight star & if i leave it parked in my garage for a couple of weeks when in go to start it there is not enough power in the battery to turn the engine over. any idea's?...

If there was some point at which you drained the battery too much (left the ignition or parking light on) and then recharged the batttery, the battery will no longer hold a full 12 volt charge, nor will it ever be able to hold a charge for more than a week thereafter. You need a new battery.
The other solution is a little obvious though -- why leave such a beautiful bike hiding in the garage for that long anyway?

I have a 2005 with only 3000 miles on it. I could not start the bike and thought my original battery was weak. I had it on a trickle charger with a green light, but as soon as I tried to start the bike a...

As this point you can't get the bike to turn over is this correct? If the engine is turning over but won't start then yes the gas is most likely the problem. Gas after sitting for even a month can evaporate from the fuel system and it leave a fouls smelling deposit behind that clogs up everything. It stinks and it's a mess to clean out. To prevent this from happening use a product that is called "Fuel Stabilizer" in the last few tanks of gas before you put the bike away for the winter or a dormant period. If the motorcycle is in a hot climate or heated garage this foul smelling gas can happen within a few weeks.

Battery isnt charging.

any battery that has been completely flat can often get whats called sulphated plates if this happens the battery may never recharge and if it did take some charge it wont be much good after, the battery has had it realy the only this you could try is a very slow long charge but even this may not work,,,as a last dich try putting an asprin into each sell,,, yes thats right an asprin it dose work some times but for the life of me i dont know why, it just dose! as for whats the best battery,,,its all down to price at the end of the day, if its a cheapy type battery it wont last very long but il give you a good tip,,,,buy your self a 12 volt solar charger of say 2.5 watts a 1.5watt will just about do for a small battery,, when your going to lay the bike up the next time hook up the solar charger to the battery and forget it,,, the solar charger only needs daylight to work but sun light is better, and it will keep the battery toped up all winter i use them on my bikes (BMW 750cc 35amhr battery fitted) put on at the begining of winter took off in spring and they start first time every time,,,free power,,good huh!
