I think I can help with the wiring diagram. Contact me directly at [email protected] The earliest drawing that I have is for a 1979 model but it can be used.

You starter relay has three connections on it. Usually two large connections and one smaller. One large connection is the hot wire from the main breaker or battery. The other large connection goes to the small connector starter solenoid. The small connector on the starter relay is from the starter button.

On the starter solenoid, the positive battery cable goes to the solenoid long connector. The cable to the starter comes off the shorter large connector. The small connector has the wire from the starter relay.
