The car does not crank or start. The battery is new . The starter works if bypassed at the solenoid but the car runs only a few seconds. The security light flashes. Both keys are the same. Ideas?

If security is flashing, that is your problem. You have VATS, which fortunately has a relatively simple bypass of the ignition switch (I assume the problem is in the steering column). The solution is here: http://vats.likeabigdog.com/ . I have used this successfully in the past. You need some resistors, an ohmmeter, and a soldering gun/iron to do this fix. Let me know if you have questions.

Solenoid clicks a few times before starting. Replaced battery and starter motor. Checked volts only 11.9 on solenoid feed wire when cranking

Is there a starter relay under the hood, like most Fords? If the battery is fully charged you can often bypass the relay manually. If that works, the relay is likely bad.

Why doesn't it crank or start?

Check battery connections and voltage. fuel pump only runs for a few seconds to start and runs again while cranking.

92 firebird wont crank, tried everything nothing

It could still be the security system. The resistors only bypass the key and ignition. If your Theft Deterrent Module is bad, the security light may not turn on, and the car will not start. You can bypass this.

Car won't turn over

Check its connector, must be good tight.
If it's good tight but still do the same>>then it's corrosion. Replace new one.
