How do i reset my digial bathroom scale


Remove all the batteries. In ones with memory, there are two sets, a 9 volt and 2 x AA.

How to adjust achoke on 1979 mg 94 cubic engine has antifreeze running through it


You need to calibrate the heat mass before reassembling the choke unit. This is from John Twist of University Motor. Hope it helps.

Loosen the 1/2" headed bolt that fastens the water jacket to the heat mass. Then, disconnect the two hoses from the water jacket and plug them with 7/16" bolts. Remove the bolt the rest of the way and CAREFULLY lever the water jacket away from the heat mass. Then, remove the three screws that hold the heat mass to the auto choke.

Remove the heat mass and carefully remove the black plastic insulator. Now you can work with the auto choke and calibrate the heat mass.

Copiously oil the inside of the autochoke, and exercise it -- hold the throttle wide open and move the little lever which engages the bi-metal strip of the heat mass from its 3:00 position to the 12:00 position -- about twenty times.

Place the heat mass in a pan of water and bring it to a boil. Pick the heat mass from the boiling water and inspect the alignment of the bi-metal strip -- well, really the rectangle -- and the line scribed in the circumference of the heat mass. That line is usually ill-defined or worse, completely obliterated. Cut a new line with your hacksaw wherever the rectangle is positioned.

Now reassemble the unit, taking GREAT care to match the finger of the choke with the rectangle of the bi-metal strip. Position all three lines (the boss on the auto choke body, the raised line on the black plastic insulator, and the line you just made with the hacksaw), in line.

My h2o mop won't steam. How do i fix it?


If your H2O mop will not steam:
1. Ensure you have followed the operating instructions.
2. Ensure you have followed the troubleshooting instructions.

If the unit fails to produce steam:
3. Switch off the power at the outlet.
4. Look at the water reservoir. Inside you will see a flexible tube with a cone on the end. Tilt the unit or give it a gentle shake to submerge the cone in water.
5. With the cone submerged, switch on the power supply and follow the normal instructions. The unit should produce steam as normal.

Note: Unless the cone is submerged in water, the unit will not steam.

Water in fuel will not start and when it stars it will not idle, how to rebuilt the carburator


If you buy a rebuild kit it will come with an instruction sheet. If you do rebuild your carb be sure and check the floats for holes as well. If there is water in the fuel - try totally emtying the tank and add a little methyl hydrate. It mixes with water and fuel and may clear your tank of any remaining H2O. Cheaper than a rebuild if it works. Let me know. Thanks.

Calculate the amount of 95% pure Na2CO3 required to prepare 5litre of 0.5 solution


This problem can be easily solved by using proportions:
To use the proportions you have to be aware of the meaning of percent (%).
Percent aways refers to how much of something compared to 100 of it.

For example, as in your problem, there are 95 grams of Na2CO3 per 100 mL of solution.

Percent, when applied to solutions, is more commonly a mass per mass ratio times 100; but for this problem, since you did not specify, I am going to assume you meant grams per volume, since the problem is asking for the "amount" of the Na2CO3 solution, which seems to be the solution volume.

That is, the unknown for this problem is the volume of the 95% Na2CO3.

You want to prepare 5 liters (i.e., 5 L) of a 0.5% solution of Na2CO3.
You don't say what the unit is for the 0.5, but I am taking the liberty of assuming you meant 0.5%.

Some information about rounding off
Notice that in the above paragraph, and in the two paragraphs before that, I have underlined the only digit that is considered to be a significant digit (sig fig). An important rule to remember regarding sig figs and rounding off in math operations involving muliplication or division is this:
The calculated result may not have more sig figs in it than was in the quantity with the smallest number of sig figs. So there can be only one sig fig in 26.32, because it was calculated using another one-sigfig number, 25. (The 25 was obtained from calculation using another one-sigfig number, 0.5). Espresso machine loses steam than recovers in minutes


It sounds like a heating element issue. Those elements look like a single unit but are actually made up of 2 or 3 independent heating coils - one may not be working. So, you're only getting 1/2 to 2/3 heating capacity, which isn't noticeable until the machine is under heavy steam load.
