Vibration of steering wheel while bracking in Mistzubishi montero sports 2012

if you have a vibration only while braking and only in the steering wheel then you have warped front rotors causing the problem. there was a time when you could have the rotors turned and reused. but the way they make rotors now(too thin to start with) you will have to replace them, make sure the wheel nuts are torque to spec.

Check the brake light function. If the lights work then replace the shift lock solenoid. If they don't work then replace the brake light switch and retry.

Squicking bracks

Sometimes brake dust or dirt builds up and causes this, other times the rotors become overheated and polished surfaces rubbing together make harmonic noise (squeeling). Another problem could be the higher metal content in the pads (if you just replaced with metallic pads) and this is normal squeeking. But if you think the problem is recent and no brake work is suspect, you'll need to raise the front and remove the two tires and inspect. Even if your brake sensor light is not on, check the thickness of the pads by looking through the back of the brake caliper. You should see at least 1/4' pad. If no pad is present you've found the problem, and don't drive any further until you've replaced the pads. If you have pad life, take an emery cloth or 220 higher sand paper and go around the rotor surfaces lightly enough to remove any shine. Spray liberally with brake cleaner the rotors and brake calipers and pads. Reassamble and do the rear brakes. Finally, if that doesn't work, you should check the back of the pad to see if any anti-vibration grease or paste is present. This acts as a dampner to the vibration and holds the pad slightly tighter in the brake caliper.

HOW TO CHANGE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH

The brake light switch is located up under the dash board where the brake pedal lever connects to its pivot point, follow the brake pedal up and under the dash with aflash light or droplight get on your back and look up under the dash near the brake pedal lever you will see a switch that has wire plug going to it remove the plug and and nuts snd bolts holding switch on, this switch may just have a locknut on a threaded shaft loosen locknut and unscrew the switch that screws into its support brack ( NOTE; before removing mark the threaded rod part of switch with a sharpy or magik marker for reference purposes during installation of new switch the new switch must be adjusted to the right depth for the switch to activate at the correct point of pedal application.

Abs light on as well as brack light on the das

brake pads are the ONLY way to stop you going like 30mph+ when you hit like a wall or person or like another road user & if you do crash YOU will be totally at fault for having an unfit car. The best way to get the lights on your dash to go out is to fit new pads. The lights show that the time when the brakes WILL fail is drawing very near, it is stilll up to you to get the pads changed. You will not get any further warnings from your car prior to not being able to stop at all thus causing endangerment. You will be shocked at just how bad they were when you feel the new pads.
