You shouldnt need to heat the hub.

You will need a steel drift or punch smaller than the axle.
put it nearly through to the bearing on the other side and hit it at right angles to the bearing, this should move the inner spacer sideways and expose an edge of the bearing to drive it out.

How do I replace front wheel bearings on 2008

Hi, replacing the front wheel bearings on any vehicle is difficult if you don,t have the right tools, as the driveshaft and wheel hub (where the bearing is seated) needs to be removed. The hub housing the bearing may have to be heated (depending on corrosion) when the bearing is being pressed out, by using a heavy duty vice , and the new bearing is pressed in using the vice and the old bearing as a guide. I would strongly suggest you refer this repair to someone who has done this before, I personally would not undertake to change front bearings ever again, the first time for me was an experience I wouldn't want to undertake again. All the best.

How do we change out the front wheel bearing in a Ford expedition 1999 2 Wheel

The bearings are part of the wheel hub assembly. All you need to do is take the wheel off, remove the brake caliper and pull off the wheel hub. Some tools are likely to be needed. One would be a puller. Your parts are going to be frozen on once you take off the center nut holding the hub on. You can also get this off with a big hammer and a lot of swearing but it will come off. WD-40 soaking on it does not hurt and you can try heating it up to get it off. You could also be lucky enough to be 1 in 4000 that it just pops off without any fight.

Mazda mpv 2006 repack wheel bearing

There is a little difference between the front and rear. The days of packing wheel bearing is almost over. The front bearing you have to pull the hub and change to bearing. The rear wheel you have to change out the hub bearing and all. The front is a sealed bearing and not serviceable. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

Front wheel barring

They are not too bad if the bearing/hub assy is not frozen into the aluminum steering knuckle. They are held in with 3 13mm bolts from the back side.Remove the front wheel on the side in question, remove the brake caliper, brake bridge, pads, remove the axle nut 36mm(big socket required here)once you have all this removed remove the 3 13mm bolts tha retain the hub/bearing to the steering knuckle by hammering downward on the hub, don't worry if you tear it up come with new one.If you dont see it coming apart after 10-15 blows with a large hammer it maybe siezed up.Then you will need to hit alot hard or heat the knuckle. But be carefull the knuckle is aluminum.hope this helps
