My 'wing won't run unless it has been warmed up some. I would suggest that you r&r your carbs to make sure the jets in the bottom are working correctly. They tend to get plugged up, especially after sitting & the aluminum flaking off inside... Rick

SOURCE: honda xr600r cutting out at 3/4 & full throttle

when you put on a new air filter you have to rejet the carb in order for the air/fuel mixture to be correct, because with a aftermarket air filter it is allowing more air in than before and not enough fuel. as the piston speeds up upon exceleration the air is not getting burnt off into exhaust because you do not have enough fuel in the mix

SOURCE: 2005 450r dies at full throttle

Sounds like dirt in the main jet of the carb. Take the slide out and clean the needle. The pull the float bowl and blow air or carb cleaner through the brass jet in the middle of the barb, where the needle seats.

I have a 2005 trx450r with a full dgaccelerator pipe stge 2 hc, bcs performance valves kandn filter pre charger and air box lid cut like the hrc kits. it has a 50 pilot jet with a 160 main ive tried 150...

Try covering up the holes in the airbox (where it has been cut away) with tape. If it runs better, you know the jet size is too small. Sometimes the jet kits don't go big enough for a modified airbox.

Trx450r 04 when i try to shift up fast it won't go i really have to let off the gas alot

Sounds like some kind of restriction, check the air box to be sure there is nothing in there and that the air inlet is clear. If you installed a Cold Air Inlet be sure the inlet is not blocked.
There could be a rev limiter kicking in as you approach Red Line. At what RPM is the engine stumbling?
Also if you over oiled the gauze filter and drove it before the oil dried you could have fouled a sensor in the intake manifold.
I would clean the air box and take a short test run with no filter to see if the same thing happens. If it does your car has a rev limiter that is not allowing you to run at high revolutions.

I have a 2007 suzuki C90 anyone know of any enexpensive way to get a little more power out of it I already have cobra pipes and a fuel management system on it have

Apart from going full tilt and bombing the engine. I might suggest putting an aftermarket air cleaner on it. Either a hypercharger or an Arlen Ness kit, maybe even spiked air ram. Either of these will give you extra performance.
I have a VZ1600 with PC III, Cobra slash cut pipes and a Hyper charger and it really pulls hard and goes far faster than a stock bike. At 80km/h in first there is a rev limiter that prevents you going over that, but second so far I have had it up to 130 km/h and still more throttle to go.

99 yz125 burning off piston edge at high rpms

Higher octane fuel is needed from what you describe. Without knowing where you are located and how hard you ride the bike, it's impossible for anyone to offer any jetting advice. Higher octane fuel will likely help, but if you (or a previous owner perhaps) have shaved the head for higher compression, you might have to run higher octane racing fuel.

Also - check to make sure the pipe is sealed well at the head pipe connection - if not, it will **** air at high RPM and can cook your piston.

Check also for leaking crank seal on the flywheel side (left) which can also **** air but will normally be accompanied by a very irradic idle.

I put a glasspack on my 2005 f150 and when it gets above 3500 rpms it sputters and kinda seems like it continuously backfires and i dont gain speed it done this many time but ust once the check engine...

It called lack of back pressure in your exhaust system. The newer engines today are made to have certain back pressure to operate properly. As a general rule, you can enlarge the pipe diameter of your OEM exhaust system by 1/4- to 1/2-inch to increase your horsepower. However, any additional increase in pipe diameter is likely to decrease your performance; specifically, low end torque. You can fix this problem if you can find a speed shop to dyno-tune your F150 with the lower back pressure exhaust system you have buy changing your fuel injector timing and pulse duration. Good luck and keep me posted, your engine may running to lean at the higher RPM's so be careful not to burn out one of more of your valves. Thank you for using Fixya.

pull the IAC out and make sure that there is nothing blocking it from the throttle body from cleaning it. while you have it out go ahead and clean the IAC. the only way that I know to check it is pull it out and leave it plugged up to the connector turn the car on but dont start and see if the probe moves in or out.

05'Dodge 3500 popping front end when truck sits overnight. Faster speed faster popping slower speed slower popping. Usually quits after 20 mph.

Might be a low tire. When they sit over night, and ther isn't enough air in them, they get a flat spot, and it'll stay that way until the tire warms up.

Trying to pull hard against the wind and cuts out but with no wind it runs good?

If you are running a straight pipe you will need to create some back pressure in it. Any type of small baffle will do. Back in my day we brazed a 1/8" soft steel rod to two edges of a washer then drilled two slightly larger holes 1/4" from the end of the pipe. Then heated the rod to shape it a bit and then inserted the stem w/ washer into the end of the pipe. A slight dent was then put in the pipe to index the rod position. Below is a rough bit of artwork that will show the "snuff knob" in the snuff position. For the city it can be turned "open" to allow unrestricted exhaust when slower speeds do not create excess wind.

96 or108 inch downrod for a hunter ceiling fan

FIrst, go to the Hunter website and see if they make one. If they do, then go to their "Where to Buy" link, and see who sells Hunter products, and call them to see if in stock.

If worse comes to worse, got to a hardware store and buy a piece of black iron gas pipe the correct length with threads on each end. You will probably have to get cross holes drilled through the threads to match the short stub pipe that comes with the fan.
Buy some spray paint while there that matches the color you want.
Buy some stranded wire, enough to run the length of the pipe, plus the length of the fan, plus excess to extend beyond the end of the pipe and out the junction box of the fan. It would be best to buy a length of the following colors to match what is already in the fan, and that should be white, blue, and black.

Once home, clean the pipe with solvent, then paint to match with the paint you bought. After it dries, push the wires down through the pipe, and rest the fan near where the fan end of the pipe will be.

Open the junction box of the fan and pull the factory wires through the center shaft. Take the wires extending from the pipe and slide through the hollow fan shaft until they extend out the bottom. Cut each of the factory wires short, then strip the end, and the end of the new wire of the same color, and wire nut together. Do this for the remaining 2 wires.

Screw the pipe into the top of the fan, install the cross pin and cotter.

Move the hanging components from the supplied fan hanging stub to the new pipe, making sure to install exactly as removed from the stub.

Follow the installation directions from here.

2 ins is rather small and there may also be a partial blockage somewhere in the system you are not aware off.
a naughty cure is to restrict the drain hose of the machine so water comes out a bit slower
