Yes, the clutch plates are probably worn.

Goes in gear but wont move

the clutch pressure plate is not engaging because the actuation is not working
If it is hydraulic then the problem may be in the master cylinder with a blocked compensating port or the slave cylinder piston is jammed in the out position and not returning
or if it is a cable operation the cable is jammed in the case and not allowing clutch operation

Engine will go dead when you idle it down slow enough to put it in gear

Not sure what you asking..but by what you are saying the carb idle speed control needs adjusted..there should be two adjustment screws on the in the middle where it hooks to the motor it is the mixture screw do not adujust..the other is located where the throttle linkage hooks to the carb..adjust that one while the engine is running and out of the right adds speed the left backs it off...adjust to an idle speed that will allow you to operate the clutch..and put in gear..just make sure it isn't one of the safety switches that is not letting you put it in gear..good luck.

How do you unseized clutch plates gl1000 75 sat 10yrs creepy in gear

HiClutch not disengaging
Make sure cable has only a couple of mm play. If unable to adjust at handlebars then adjust at clutch endA quick & dramatic way to unseize clutches is to put front wheel up against a wall or similar, bike at 90 degrees to it, front brake on, with full riders weight on seat, in neutral hold clutch in & handlebars straight, rev her up to 3 - 4000rpm, brace your arms & dump her into 1st gearThe shock will generally free-up even a completely seized clutchThe other option is to strip & clean the clutch plates

1985 Honda Goldwing that sat out side for years. When I start it, it runs OK but I have no clutch. How do I fix this issue?

The GL1200 is equipped with a hydraulic clutch. Make sure the reservoir is full and bleed the system. If that does not make the clutch work you may have to rebuild the master cylinder and buy new o-rings for the clutch slave cylinder . Then you should get enough pressure in the system to operate the clutch.

prolly a hydraulic problem master os slave cylinder leak ck your fluid takes dot 3 brake fluid , also you can put in gear hold the pedal down usually if the fiber substance is gone from the clutch disk the car will not move while cranking if the car moved then its a hydraulic problem , note to self try this with nothing in front of the car it might start up in gear if that happens you will have to immediately turn the engine key off , if the fiber is gone while running you can put trans into any gear while running without pedal inguaged , hope this helps
