The first thing to do if you suspect a mechanical problem is to take the battery to an automotive parts store. Ask them to run a load test on the battery to see if it's any good. Just because you keep the battery on a charger doesn't mean it'll last forever, just a bit longer. If the battery is good or you purchase a new one, pay particular attention to the connections on the battery. Make sure that they are all clean and tight.
If that doesn't do it, it could be something to do with the ECM on the bike. That, I'm afraid, I can't help you with that.
