If you havent gone to synthetic oil yet then it is almost pointless to do so now. Your best bet is to just keep up on regular oil changes and filter changes with a good quality oil.

How much and what of oil is the best kind of oil for a yamaha r1 2007 with 8000 miles

Full synthetic oil will work the best for your bike. Synthetic has been over-engineered in a good way.

P.S: DO NOT USE car synthetic oil as they have TOO MUCH friction modifiers (not good for wet clutch).
