Well, you only need the clutch to release, and that cannot be major. Inspect the cable completely, does it move at the trans end when you pulll it. What is inside is essentially a fork on a release bearing, a rod, and the clutch spring plate.

Probably clutch plates/springs and or clutch basket. If you have any experience doing some sort of automotive you should have no proble replacing this yourself. If you do it yourself of course will cost less. Remove clutch cover to reveal what has broken and or disenegrated. Usually is springs or basket. The basket is what holds the plates.

So I was driving my 91mitsubishi mighty Max and the clutch cable broke so I it towed to a mechanic to have it replaced a long with a new clutch but when he was done it still felt like the newcablw

take it back and have him fix it free as the job was not done properly
unless you had prior problems with the clutch operation ( slipping, grabbing ) then there was no need for a clutch kit to be fitted --just a clutch cable
probably replaced the clutch and did nothing with the cable

What happens when the Crank Shaft Position Sensor on 2003 harley deuce goes bad

Hi Donnie, if your driving down the rode it would backfire spit and sputter then qiut running, if the bike is not running and you try and start it it will turn over but won't start. The CPS tells the ignition modual when to fire the plugs and if bad needs to be replaced. Good luck.

2004 1200c clutch adjustments

Hi Anonymous, spray some silicone or brake kleen at the top inside of the rubber boot covering cable adjuster and slide boot off the adjuster. Back off jam nut and screw adjuster in to give excessive freeplay at clutch lever. Remove left foot rest. Remove large round clutch inspection cover, being carfull not to dislodge large quad seal on primary cover. Remove spring and hex lock plate from adjusting screw. Turn adjusting screw counter clockwise until resistance is felt, then clockwise 1/4 turn. Re-install hex lock plate and spring and clutch inspection cover and footrest. Back out adjusting screw on cable so that while pulling the clutch lever with one hand and pulling the clutch cable with the other hand you achieve 1/16" to 1/8" free play. Tighten jam nut, slide rubber boot back over cable adjuster and your good to go. Good luck

How to clutch adjustment

Hi, Anonymous, leave the slack for now. Remove large round clutch inspection cover and back off clutch adjusting screw lock nut. Screw in adjusting screw untill resistance is felt then back off 1/4 turn. Tighten jam nut and replace inspection cover. With silicone or brake kleen spray the top inside of rubber boot covering clutch adjuster and slide it away. Back off jam nut and adjust cable so that when pulling on the clutch lever with one hand and the clutch cable with the other you obtain 1/16" to 1/8" freeplay. Tighten jam nut, slide rubber boot back on and your good to go. Good luck

Hi Anonymous, on the right side cover of the transmission where the clutch cable screws into there is a cap that takes a 3/8" allen key. This is your transmission dip stick. Good luck

Want to no what all has to come out to change trans 2003 deuce

To change the transmission you will have to disconnect the battery then remove the outer primary cover, starter, clutch, primary chain tensioner, stator, (clutch, stator and primary chain come out as a set) inner primary cover, exhaust, clutch cable and then transmission. Sounds like a big job but if you are mechanically inclined, have the tools and have a weekend to yourself it is reasonably easy.
