Hot climate, warm weather, long distance riding 20w-50 is a great choice. Cold climate 10w-40 might work better. Use only a JASO MA certified motorcycle oil . Synthetics will help your bike run cooler and shift easier.

It seems that there are diferent types of filters, need to know the correct ones for 1990 Yamaha yx 600 Radian. ....fuel filter, oil filter, and engine oil? thank you. APB

I RECOMMEND THE YAMAHA OIL FILTER FOR IT HAS A BETTER RELIEF VALVE. RECOMMENDED ENGINE OIL IS YAMALUBE 20W50 ALL PURPOSE. THERE IS NO FUEL FILTER,AS IT IS BUILT IN THE GAS VALVE.YOU CAN PUT IN A SMALL INLINE FILTER IF YOU LIKE.

Yamaha fzr 400 not running/ oil coming out from pipe

Hi, Jaime_palatt for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. What kind of oil do i need to put in my 1991 yamaha fzr 600?

Any motorcycle oil will do. Castol or motul are good ones. Don't use oil for cars as the antiwear aditives will make your clutch slip. Synthetic oil is good. I use the motul ester 20w50 in my bike it run great and you only have to do one change at the start of the season. synthetic oil is usualy good for about 15000km unless you put more on than that.
Hope this helps.

Oil change worries

20w50 will be fine. It just gives you a wider temperature range. For example if 20w40 was acceptable from 0-90F, 20w50 might be acceptable from 0-120F. Nothing to be worried about at all.
