Golf leakin water from radiator

Any radiator leaks in modern engines are best rectified with a replacement radiator as the plastic tanks and genuine cores are costly to repair.

Transmission cooler lines

You should see the trans fluid when you
had them off

Doubt you can buy those cooling lines from a dealer
anymore

You can check with parts dept at dealer
Check with a salvage yard
Repair ,weld, fabricate ,what ever to fix your self, that is what
I would do

Migatronic 5000mx was welding ok, turned power & wire speed down no longer feed wire fast enough checked and found diode on rectifier blown so replaced rectifier still no wire feed any ideas would be...

Was the rectifier replaced with the same exact device? Or something with comparable ratings and performance? It likely was protecting another active device like an SCR, IGBT, or other type of thyrister which may have failed. If substitutiing a higher rated device for the original, the gate characteristics must match.

Also check some of the heavier resistors as they sometimes do double duty as a fuse in the circuit.

Homelite LR 5500 no uotput, need diagnostic procedure. Capacitor ck ok. Found burnt through yellow 16ga. wire leading to outer windings, repaired, still no output.

Sounds like the rectifier is shorted. When it shorted out, the energy expended itself by burning through the wire. When you repaired the wire, the shorted rectifier held the excitation voltage down to zero, keeping the unit from building back up. Check the rectifier - you should find that it is shorted. There is a guy on ebay selling replacement kits - p/n 95672. You may have to flash the field after you replace the rectifier - about half the time, a rectifier or capacitor failure will kill the residual magnetism in the rotor.

Broken timing chain corsa

Not good. I would expect the garage to foot this expence as Im sure your initial bill was far from a cheep one? If a customer of mine had suffered a similar issue, I would certainly work very closely with them to rectify the problem. There is of course a slim chance a catastrophic component failure has genuinely occured, which may be completely unrelated. However it is most unlikely this time, as when your timing chain failed the valve to piston collision/impact would have caused serious potential damage to the crankshaft and big end bearings. This symptom is not overly common in most engines where timing chain/belt failure occurs. However, all engines are different and may experience different levels of damage. A replacement engine does now seem the cheepest way forward in your situation. Perhaps the garage should source one and you might pay for the fitting only? Good luck
